[Don't ask how she's gone and done it (default skill: walljump for the win) but Amaterasu has taken to relaxing in the Alchemy district on one of the building's roofs. More specifically: the Weapon Shop. It wasn't really the ideal place to sit and people watch, as it was a distance away from the warp point, but there were still people coming and

She raises a hand and offers him a small wave in greeting.]

Comfortable?

There's a brief pause in her actions before she makes a soft noise down at him. It had been awhile and the way she stares is obvious as to what she wants to ask: How have you been?]

Mind if I come up? It'd be easier to talk with you up there.

[How rude of her to not have offered an invitation. She was just so used to being without a companion - she had seen neither hide nor hair of Waka or Issun (which may be a good thing, as Nippon and the Celestial Plain would be safe in either of their hands...hopefully) - that it was beginning to slip her mind to do such things.
She gives him another nod of the head. Yes, of course he could come up.]

He settles himself, reaching over to scratch Amaterasu behind her ears. There was one thing he was thankful for -- he knew he could speak openly with the former goddess without much worry, especially not of it being repeated.]
I've been better. I've had trouble sleeping lately, thanks to nightmares, and I've even disturbed Harpuia and Leviathan because of them.

But to his words she looks over with a slight frown, her brows creasing as she stares at him. Nightmares? That was not good. Especially so if he was disturbing others with them.]

It's a bit harder for humans. You can't just completely turn part of yourself off.

She knew well enough how hard it was for humans to have to deal with such things. Issun and she had come across Susano having one in Kusa Village and it had been confusing yet a bit troublesome at the same time. But he had done his best to play it off. But ...
Amaterasu whines beneath her breath, not knowing what at all to tell him. While she would like to ask him what the contents of his dreams may be wouldn't that be crossing lines? Even she knew where boundaries were. If he wanted to tell her then he will do so of his own accord. Or so she would like to believe, especially as she leans up against him and sets her head to shoulder to nuzzle it in the best way that she can. If they weren't on a roof and she was still in her wolf form then she would have climbed right onto his lap.]

Amaterasu is, as ever, a comforting presence, and X begins to describe them without a second thought. Nightmares about Ferham, leaping off and destroying herself while he only watched. Nightmares about the points in the endless wars that he felt he could do something different, save someone lost. And the worst; nightmares about returning home, only to find everything gone, his friends dead, with the exception of one of his friends accusing him, telling him that the destruction is his own fault, that he could have saved them had he been there.
Though not nearly as uncontrollable as in the guild room, tears are falling quietly once more by the time X finishes.]

I know. Different worlds don't matter at all here. I have you, at the least. Harpuia and Leviathan too. Hakuren...
[He scratches behind her ears.]
I know I have a lot of people here for me. It's a nice thing to think about, but... it's also surprisingly nice to be able to actually feel everything that's bothering me... to be able to cry and not worry about pushing it aside and having to go on. It's something I've never been able to do.

The scratch feels good but she makes no noise to show it. At the moment, all concern is still placed on X. But Amaterasu nods her head at him. She understands what he is saying and, to an extent, may even agree with him.
He hadn't been human before arriving here in this world so to be able to have such a sudden rush of things, to experience it for once without worry, perhaps it was a good thing within itself while being troublesome and worrisome all the same. The calming of her expression says as much, at least.]

It's... a lot different. I'm not entirely sure how to handle it. I've... never been able to cry before, for one.

She takes to sitting up a little, her body still in a leaning position as she presses up against X's side (because she is refusing to part from him right then).]
Hmm..
[Popping a piece of cake into her mouth she licks the icing from her fingers and looks at him from the corner of her eyes. Unsure of how to handle it... She didn't know what to say to him about that and she shrugs a little. The motion carrying a thoughtful look to it rather than uncaring. 'Everyone reacts differently to these types of things.' It says and her expression follows suite, 'I cannot tell you for certain how you should handle it.']
