[So, after the... relatively interesting, if calm, Prom night, as well as the total crash of it for Harpuia, X has decided to just take a break today, and hang around the city.

He's set himself up next to the fountain with a small box, along with a few smaller boxes scattered around it, strangely enough. What could the boxes be for?

[Sometime after Harpuia leaves (or before he arrives, SOMETHING TO AVOID PLAYERCESTING) Shadow walks towards the fountain]

So what exactly are you doing?

[Ah! X puts the book away, pulling out a smaller box and offering it to Shadow.]

[stares at the gift and-] What brought this about?

You seemed sad the other night.

[....that's all?]

... [he covers his face with his hand and laughs]

What a naive reason.

Is that a problem?

[Sincerely said, of course. X is still just smiling.]

I try to make it so friends of mine aren't so sad.

To be fair, I try to get along with most everyone.

I can tell. Hopefully, you have at least one person to remind you that the world's not so kind, right?

[It doesn't affect X! He wants to be nice to you.]

I know very well the world's not that nice.

And I suppose I do. Harpuia and Leviathan tend to snarl at anything that even looks at me wrong.

[He laughs quietly.]

[somehow, everyone Shadow runs into wants to pet his ears be nice to him. HE'S COLD AND INDIFFERENT UNLESS YOU ARE MARIAAAA and maybe his Team Dark]

Do they now? Then again, most of the people who show up as Clerics have been incapable of fighting properly...

[but almost all of them have seen war, and that makes you wonder just what is up with this place]

[X wants to be nice because one, that's what X does, and two, because X understands what the pain of constant fighting is.]

I suppose I'm in that category as well. I can fight hand to hand, but I'm used to having armor and robotic reflexes behind it. I don't know how well I could do in a human body like this.

Your reflexes shouldn't have been completely taken away. [Shadow would know] Dumbed down, but not gone.

[pause as he thinks for a bit] I can't practice with you at the levels we are at now, but perhaps you can ask someone closer to your level to spar with you. Cleric or not, if you were a fighter before, your body should remember what to do.

That's a relief, at least.

[A paused thought. Hmm...]

I'll ask Harpuia or Leviathan some time, and see what all I can remember. Thank you, Shadow.
