one of two things happen upon experiencing an epic:

*you yourself become inspired and practically foam at the mouth and beat your chest with the collected energy of great heroes and ordinary people who did extraordinary things and you stay up with your friends and yell and laugh and disect every person and every moment of that epic

or.....

*your friends go to sleep and you are left alone with your thoughts and weaknesses and you feel that your life has been meaningless and you tremble at the feet of the heroes of those epics that you can not ammount to, only admire from a piddly distance

either way..epics are good to experience because whether they inspire or intimidate, it is important to believe in heroes and in the selfless courage and strength they gave and most important their humanity and honor

it is also important to remember the reason that most of these heroes die... and that is in battle and in stupid war for greed or power

and then the love that we have is so easily snuffed out by the hate that we destroy with
