It seems that once more the tragedies provoked by the curse have been averted by the coming of midnight, leaving both the victims and the affected attackers with the painful memory of the event. The possibility of a complication in this aftermath has been brought up already--ah, I pray to God this is not the case. But we can't never be too sure, if ( Read more... )

I didn't eat anyone, but I was bitten several times. It appears I was healed after the curse was over, but is there anything I should be tested for regardless?

It depends if you have an average immune system. But bites from someone infected, fluid exchanges through blood could be dangerous.

Wonderful. I'll get tested the next time I come in for a consult.

Very well. Ask for me. We can do this procedure in the strictest confidence.

Thank you, Lilith.

The less time I spend there and the few people know, the better I'll feel.

They wouldn't blame you. You were a victim.

My friends... may not react well to seeing me around the hospital. I don't react well to being there.

May I know why?

Because of what I am. They may get the wrong idea.

I'm a Reaper. In my world it means I have the ability to kill with a touch, to Release those whose times have come and the ability to know when that is.

They don't realize, they don't understand, that it has other uses, things that can be of use even here.

If they don't understand, maybe you should kindly tell them the other uses.

I've tried, and generally they say they understand, but... there was an incident not long ago. I lost control. I rather think they might make the wrong assumptions now.

Besides... I just rather they not know. Being in a hospital, even just visiting or consulting with the doctors there... it's difficult to my senses. And worrying about what they think... it's something I'd rather not worry about yet.

The pain and suffering of the patients must be overwhelming for you.

...it's not easy. I know the ones that will die and the fact that they still suffer? It goes against everything I was taught to be.
