[ Settles back in his chair, looking at her ]

[ Shakes his head, then turns to stand and then goes to the bedside table, picking up a thermos flask and beginning to pour some liquid into a cup, then holding it with both hands, he holds it out to her ]

Let me put it this way, Baiken-san. I personally do not want to fight you again, because I have no reason to. However, I would also like to request that you do not end up killing yourself outside of our world.

[ Looks up at her ]

I'm not sure how familiar you are with interdimensional theories, but the point of the matter is that your absence in our world if you are killed outside of it, will be disbalancing on it. As facts go, we aren't supposed to be able to leave our world.

[ Sighs. ]

There will be a backlash on our world. How, I cannot say, but there will be. And it could be something worse than the Gears with what has happened.

Baiken-san, this is my offer. I will keep you under protection, free to go where you like. However, you must not encourage the other Japanese within the colony to leave, nor will you allow yourself to come under grave risk outside of our world.
