Anyway, the icons are absolutely wonderful!! I love the last icon in the capicontest entires - the crop and coloring are stunning. I also love the glowy cyans in 4!
I'm in love with the coloring on 2 for the Revival/reboot challenge. It's so soft and pastelly. I especially love the slightly off whites and how smooth the lighting looks around her shoulders, like there's an almost 3d deth to the icon. Wonderful icon, it caught my eye on the preview immediately!
All the friendship challenge icons are great, I love the cropping in 2 and the coloring in 3 especially (yay April & Leslie!).
4-5 in the random section are amazing!! I LOVE the blending, the starry look and the darkly vibrant coloring. This icon looks great both with and without the text, but I really dig what you did with the text placement, rotation and coloring,
Oh, so this was the self imposed challenge!! Sorry I never got around to commenting on this when it was in progress, I'm honestly terrible at keeping up conversations on LJ since I visit so randomly. But these icons are spectacular and I love that you came up with this and finished the challenge. I'm glad you're proud of Heartbreak, it really is a showstopper! The blending works so well and the text is a nice addition too. And the colors and texture work of the background look just spectacular. I also love the vibrancy and textured background of Citric and the deep coloring in Favorite outfit.
You did a great job with the backgrounds in the cateogry set. I especially love the smoky noir look of cat5 and the lighting & coloring in cat1!
AC1 is awesome, I love this background coloring style in icons, it's subtle but it's also so clear that the characters stand out against the background more than they normally would in the original cap. And the golden glowy coloring is just so pretty. I also love the recoloring in ac2 and the bold colours you used.
Awesome work with all the challenges here! Can't wait to see your monthlyinspo set. I'm also making mine, having major trouble because I don't really care for Christmas or christmassy looking icons that much so it's a struggle trying to fit my icon ideas to the mystery bag items, but hopefully my interpretation will be fine in the end! I know you'll ace the challenge for sure.

Those two icons on the random section came to me a day I was working from home (and since things were quiet, I could afford working on it, hehe). It was hard to work with Netflix caps I made myself but I am nonetheless proud of how they turned out. I'm so happy you like it too <3
Haha, no worries! Lord knows I'm awful at commenting and just keep tabs open until something crashes and I lose them. They probably changed quite a bit, too, heh. Thank you for your truly kind words. I'm floored and emotional, this is so sweet! I was pretty happy with the set overall but I guess the lack of true ~cohesion bothers me a bit, lol. But yeah, heartbreak is definitely one of my favorite icons I've ever made. Working with the backgrounds in the Category set was fun, since I couldn't (completely) get rid of it, haha.
I don't know if I'll ace that set. I'm so... unconvinced by what I've done, especially considering some of the gorg entries there are already. Again, I can't make them all be a cohesive set because of the colors and the random items in the bag. (They might be a tad too simple because my inspiration is on a break or something, haha.) I am sure your set will be amazing no matter what, though! I'm so looking forward to seeing it.
