Fun last few days... let's see.
Friday night, I went in town with Jeremy and Sam, but ditched them for James, Nate and Jordan. Then, we were getting ice cream and we saw these two kids boxing in the street (with boxing gloves etc). They ran down Cottage St., and we followed them and egged them on to do it again (in the middle of the street). So, they agree, and get about... I'd say three punches in before a cop car comes squealing to a stop. We immediately ducked into Cadillac Mtn. Sports, and waited there for a couple of minutes. When we got out, we started to walk away, only to be called after by the police. Sooo.. they stopped us and sat us down, and started "We're not gonna take 911 calls for boxing fights in the middle of the street blah blah." Our conversation was kind of like this:
POLICE: We're not gonna take etc., etc.
US: It wasn't us.
POLICE: Then who was it?!
US: The kids with the boxing gloves.
POLICE: (confused) Oh... (policeman #1 to policeman #2) Don't let 'em leave, take some ID or something. (policeman #2 to us) Let me see some ID.
US: (laughing) Ok.
So.. as the po-pos are taking our ID, the kids drive by in a mini-van, yelling and waving their boxing gloves. Then the cop says this into his radio(practically verbatim):
COP: Four-one-nine, that was the kids. In the green mini-van. Yeah. With the boxing gloves. (and then to us) You're free to go.
So we left. I ended up sleeping at Jeremy's. Then Saturday, I woke up at 1:00 to an empty Jeremy's Dad's house.
So I left. I got home at 1:30, called Jeremy and Sam, and we met up at this new Tex-Mex place for free nachos. Jeremy and I split tacos, and when we were deciding on the filling, Jeremy let me know that he doesn't eat land animals. So.. Evan and Sam started pestering him about that, and he decided to try to ditch us all. We (Sam, Evan, me) met Emily Frederick at Jeremy's house, where Jeremy proceded to show up. Then Jeremy and I took off to Compass Harbor to shoot photos for his SFOA course. Then we made Sam, Evan and Emily late for their movie, so we all rented Snatch and watched it at Jeremy's. At about 10:00, Welly, Chris Doyle, Rich and Gideon showed up and hung out till 11:00, when I drove basically everybody home. (Welly, by the way, has the COOLEST house I've ever seen.)
Today, I played wiffle ball, where I went. 1-for-6. I'm batting .076 for the season (i.e. not good). Then I came home. I was supposed to burn or rent Requiem for a Dream, and we were all supposed to watch it together. That didn't happen, though, and here I am.
