Final femmefest recs
First of all, see this post for my earlier recs, although I will gladly restate that Ballycastle Bats are Big, Fat Cheaters, my gift from luvscharlie is amazing and you should read it. :)
* Art: My second gift (although I had no idea I was supposed to get one, but I'm not complaining!): You're Mine, Alice, Mine - Bellatrix/Alice, a beautiful almost Grecian art piece by venturous1. I love the shading, the intensity, and the positioning of the bodies.
* We Intertwined - Through Hot Chocolate and Sun-Kissed Freedom (Daphne/Hermione) by the_spinnersend is a dark, raw and painful portrait of an almost WWII-like post-war world.
* This is a Game I Would Gladly Participate in (Helga/Rowena) by shyath. Nice, steamy fic - as a history freak I miss a bit of medieval context, but still, a very nice fic. I especially like the balance of the nicely flowing narrative and yet the slightly formal, "medieval" language.
* Maybe Being Sick Isn't That Bad (Hermione/Lavender) by bablefisk because I'm a complete sap for being cared for when I'm ill. A very simple, sweet, warm fic.
* Fiddlesticks (Hermione/Pansy) by peskywhistpaw. Amazing, this one! Hermione and Pansy are written perfectly, and the wittiness and cleverness of the fic is really refreshing. One of my favourite submissions!
* Old Friends (Minerva/Augusta) by miss_morland. Absolutely beautiful in its wistfulness, wisdom and quiet happiness.
* The Scandalous Tale of the Diagon Nursery Calendar (Hermione/Pansy) by woldy. A completely believable, single mother Hermione and a Pansy who's completely self-assuredly found her way in life after the war. Fresh, funny, and belly-tingles-inducing!
* All the Syllables of Loss (Padma/Hermione) by woldy. Another one of my favourite submissions. Everything about it is right, from how their torrid affair begins to how Hermione starts to wonder whether she's cheating on Ron with Padma, or the other way around. A very real, startling portrait of growing up and finding new people while you're already supposed to have settled.
* Moleschinis and Cabernet Sauvignon (Hermione/Pansy) by daydreaminchic. A very successful style experiment that never calls Pansy "Pansy" and gives Hermione an edge that fits her completely.
* Art: No Practical Today (Tonks/Ginny) by la_dissonance. If you want to change your mood from bad to yay!good, just look at this. It makes me grin every time I see it :D
And now that I've recced almost everything: everything else is worth a look, too :D
