I'm in a Meme mood so I went searching through my archive. Here is one I haven't seen since 2004.
What's the last thing you wrote?
Hmmm... I started three today but I think the last was my final attempt to write Western for my
au_abc Mark/Roger challenge.
Was it any good?
It's weird. But definately better than the first two tries.
What's the first thing you ever wrote that you still have?
The TV show I wrote in the 7th grade.
Were they any good?
Lol. I think so, better than some stuff on tv.
Write poetry?
In college, but not really since then.
Angsty poetry?
It was never happy. Happy poetry is never good anyway. ;)
Favorite genre of writing?
Flangst. All that pain and yearning with a happy ending.
Most fun character you ever wrote?
Ever? Hmmm... I like writing Collins (RENT), not that he ever gets much more than a cameo.
Most annoying character you ever wrote?
Kate? Lol. But that's just personal.
Best plot you ever wrote?
Plot? Do I do that? Hmmm - I guess there was sort of a plot in The Alliance. Other than that I just capture scenes.
Coolest plot twist you ever wrote?
Twists? Hmmm again. The Alliance was twisty.
How often do you get writer's block?
Lol.... next question.
How do you fix it?
By refusing to accept it. Writer's block is like a bully - stand up to it and it will back down every time. ;)
Write fan fiction?
I don't think I'd be here if I didn't.
Do you type or write by hand?
I used to write by hand. But now I really do need to type it up, I'm addicted to that blank screen of clean white just waiting.
Do you save everything you write?
Yes
Do you ever go back to an old idea long after you abandoned it?
I'd like to say I do - but I don't. I have fics that will never see the light of LJ.
What's your favorite thing that you've written?
I could pick one out of each fandom but I'm trying to stick to the newer stuff. I love my RENT series Something Unexpected and I guess of all the Sawyer/Jack I'd have to say The Only Baggage you Can Bring and the Ink Kink series.
What's everyone else's favorite thing that you've written?
Well that you would have to ask them. :)
Do you even show people your work?
Again - that is kinda the point. I haven't really showed anyone in the really real world my recent original stuff yet though - I'm probably going to do that soon.
Who's your favorite constructive critic?
Jason and Kimmy, Jason especially because he's always very supportive of the original stuff. For the fanfic - I love everyone! It all means a lot to me.
Do you have a web site for your writings?
I'd love something besides LJ but that is enough for now.
Did you ever write a novel?
Nope.
Have you ever written fantasy, sci-fi, or horror?
Yes. The tv show was the second, and I've delved into horror in the fanfic world before.
Ever written romance or teen angsty drama?
Of course, that is what fanfictions are made of.
What's your favorite setting for your characters?
Bed? Lol. Um - that damn island, that damn hatch, and those damn caves. For Lost. For Rent - hmmm - the loft. Why are my fandoms so damn limited setting wise?
What's one genre you have never written, and probably never will?
Mpreg. And there ain't no probably about it.
How many writing projects are you working on right now?
Lmao. Um.... I need more fingers. There's three challenges (Psych 30, Philosophy 20, and Au ABC). And there is at least two series (Stroke and Lost High!) Yeah I've added an ! to the end.
Do you want to write for a living?
Very much so. Can anyone arrange that?
Have you ever written something for a magazine or newspaper?
Nope
Have you ever won an award for your writing?
Fanfic awards!
Ever written something in script or play format?
Yes. My first was in script format. *shudders* Lol.
What are your five favorite words?
Quagmire, brou ha ha, murky, perpuetal, charry
Do you ever do parody?
I do just about everything.
What's your favorite thing to parody?
Life
Do you actually like that thing, or are you spitefully making fun of it?
Yes and Yes.
Do you ever write based on yourself?
Real life bleeds into the original stuff more often than not. Sometimes it even bleeds into the fanfic.
What character that you've written most resembles yourself?
I don't Mary Sue so I'd say the brunette in my original fic "The Girls"
Where do you get ideas for your other characters?
The ones I don't steal from Tv shows? Hm... real life again, a smidge here and a smidge there.
Do you ever write based on your dreams?
Rarely
Do you favor happy endings, sad endings, or cliff-hangers?
Happy endings. Nothing better.
Have you ever written based on an artwork you've seen?
Not really.
Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
Nope - I don't think I'm that bad (others might argue but..). I try to edit the best I can. I use spell check.
Ever write something entirely in chatspeak? (How r u?)
Uh no - do people do this?
Does music help you write?
Music helps me do everything. Music just helps
Do you have a weblog or livejournal?
Yes
Are people surprised and confused when they find out you write well?
I hope not.
Quote something you've written. The first thing to pop into your mind. ---
Too Late To Stop Now. They aren't two people moving gracefully side by side.
Sawyer pulls Jack back until bodies align, too close, and they are one person, two ugly scarred halves. The fit is jagged but perfect. Jack’s need with Sawyer’s want. Sawyer’s urge with Jack’s compulsion.
Jack looks at him and it feels like judgment, Jack's eyes searching for truth in what could very well be manipulation.
When the scales tip in Sawyer’s favor he finally knows that justice, as well as love, is blind.
Jack’s lips are wet and warm, like almost every woman he ever conned - but the hands that shake when they glide through Sawyer's hair, when they stake a possessive claim on Sawyer's hips, let him know that Jack is not forgetting anything.
Not even for the moment, not even for the passion.
Jack knows exactly who Sawyer is and he's willing anyway. Jack wants to fix Sawyer but the desperate quality of his tongue, the powerful arms that encircle his waist and force closer contact, tell Sawyer he doesn't really think he knows how.
