One would hope they would at least have the decency to place you back in the home you'd made last time. But, I suppose we cannot expect that from the Malnosso.

Hello again, Rosa.

Golbez? Is that you? You sound... different. [...no helmet echo = different.]

That would be the loss of my helm, I believe. I am no longer in possession of my armor.

Though perhaps something else changed my voice and I simply didn't notice.

You... aren't? And it's more because you don't sound as if you are hiding yourself.

It is... something of a long story. Certainly not something to talk about over the journals.

Indeed? Hmm... I'm not quite sure what you mean.

You had more of an echo to your voice before. But when we have the chance, I would like to hear of the story.

[He chortles a bit.] That was the echo of my voice inside my helm, most likely.

Mmmm... no, Rosa, I can tell you now that you will not like it when you hear it. But I will tell you nonetheless.

Yes, precisely. You're missing it now, so you sound different.

...I have a feeling it involves the Malnosso.

Hnnn... you're the first one to point it out. It doesn't come as all too much of a surprise, however.

Yes, though not directly.

They unleashed a... very unpleasant side of one of our fellow captives. A rather sweet young lady who did not deserve to be turned into what she became.

Wh... who? And what was it?

The girl in question goes by the name of Noel. As for what she turned into... I find it difficult to describe it as anything but a killing machine. I discovered after the fact that it was called "Mu".

How strange. And the Malnosso did this to her? I don't see what they would gain from doing such a thing.

Perhaps they wished to know how we would react to one of our own being turned on us like that. I cannot say for certain, but then, I cannot fathom many of their motives.

At any rate, Mu attempted to slay every resident she encountered. And with her power, she proved adept at it.

Perhaps... it was to see if she would be even more useful in a draft?
