Score! Today was a pretty damn good day (so far). Sparing the boring details of most of the day - I finished my second book review in a week; I got two PaperBackSwap books ("Advice to Writers" and "Streetcar Named Desire") and the "Little Miss Sunshine" shooting script! (My big brother is the bestest, ever); I printed a coupon for "20% off the list price of one item" at Borders, which I will be forced to spend sometime soon (ooh, maybe tomorrow's adventure). And now I get to watch an episode of "The West Wing" on Bravo, because God loves me and knows how much I miss my favorite show.
I'm hungry, again ... already. Just finished eating dinner less than an hour ago. Maybe I'm just so excited about that half of the apple muffin I get to have later. Score one more for me.
I wonder if I'll ever get a chance to sit in the White House press room. I've heard it's smaller in real life than it looks on TV. Still, it'd be pretty cool.
I am bored. I am hungry. I am sleepy. Poop.
One more tick-mark on my score sheet: We're getting a 46" flat-screen TV, and it's coming on Wednesday! (We get to watch "Grey's" in larger-than-life-HD Thursday night.) There will surely be some confusion because our not-High-Def TiVo won't be able to record things in HD, so we have to watch everything without the TiVo (no more pausing at inopportune moments for comedic effect) and anything we do record on it will be viewed in non-HD, which will probably look like crap after a short while of HD-ness. But, in the end, the thing is - I'll be able to come home and watch HDTV on a 46" screen. I'm really not complaining too much. (My God ... That didn't even make sense to me...)
I need to pee. Oh, I'm so lazy.
I think I'll go take care of that, watch some "CSI:" and "Two and a Half Men," have some apple muffin and settle in for the night. Got another boring day ahead of me. Looking forward to a reunion with my favorite kids Wednesday night for some India stories and pictures, TV, gifts and great company.
Watch out for those heart attacks.
Dance with, or at least clap along to, the absurdity of life.
Good night and good luck. God bless and God speed.
