(no subject)
The superbowl was great! I couldn't care less who won - I didn't even know who was playing until the day of!
But it was Johnny's Sunday off, so we took the girls out shopping and for lunch, and then my mom babysat for us.
I got a couple new tops, my favorite is a really cute black peplum top! And I got some longer necklaces because I didn't have any of those!
And of course stuff for the kids.. Johnny even got me this really sweet forget-me-knot ring to wear on my ring finger since my other 'wedding' ring is all scratched up. I LOVE it and think it's really adorable. You know how people used to tie a string around their finger to help them remember something important? It's like that! Just not a string lol anyway I think it's really cute.
Anyway so J and I went to Houligan's for the game and we were sure we wouldn't get a table since it was packed and we were running late. It was a miracle though and we got the only table I saw open up the whole time we were there! It was so much fun because Johnny didn't really care about the game either, we were just having fun in that atmosphere and being together. He gave me lots of compliments so that was extra nice! (he doesn't say many mushy things) and saying things about really trying to get a regular babysitter so we can go out more together.
So that's good! really, really good. We didn't stay the whole time, because we didn't know how late the game would go. (good thing!)
It was great though and I really needed it. Sometimes I just want to dress up and be pretty and be Andrea instead of Mommy!
in other really horrible news, my dog Tootsie has fleas!!! I'm freaking out because I don't know what to do. My kids have flea bites on them! It makes me so upset, and also embarrassed. I gave her a bath every day straight for a week, with flea shampoo, but thy are still here. ANd not they are in my couches, on the girls stuffed animals, and in the carpet. Thankfully we only have carpet in the bedrooms, but stiull. I've been vacuuming and washing allllll the bed linens EVERY DAY. Which is a pain in the ass. I need to take Tootise to get a flea dip. And before she can go she has to get all her shots up to date, which is gonna be hundreds of dollars at the vet. I'm bummed and freaked out and bought a bunch of bug bombs and sprays and stuff and hopefully this will be taken care of soon! I haven't told anyone but my mom since I'm so embarrassed by it. I'm glad I can vent in here cuz it has been freaking me out
