in-laws, why do you suck? ranty rant!
Johnny and I have had a remarkably long stretch of.. unremarkable-ness. haha
Just normal family stuff, work and groceries and dinners and even a movie at the theater squeezed in once! A good time in our relationship. NO ups or downs. Settled into a relaxed, comfortable place.
His crazy sister Mandy, the one with the son, who is so crude and drunk and hoe-ish, just seems determined to try to rile things up. I don't know if it's because she's jealous her siblings have actually been able to establish and maintain relationships, or what.
But I don't like her!
First, she sent this horrible picture to J's phone, of her in front of some guys pants, pretending to suck on... something? It wasn't an actual penis. Just something stuck in his zipper to look like it. She did this in front of a whole bar of patrons.
Whatever, that's cool, I don't care if she wants to look like a sloppy mess in front of a bunch of people. That's her prerogative. (Although - how does she do these things all the time? She's ALWAYS out drinking with friends. Who is with her child?)
Anyway. She took this picture with one of Johnny's co-workers, so of course the next day they all razzed him about it mercilessly. Those guys are the dealership are like... frat guys.
Even this I can handle, although why she wants her brother to be teased about her skankyness for days is beyond me.
The part that makes me most angry is that she has been slamming johnny to his co workers about how 'lame' he is and what a 'pussy' he is for not going out anymore, not stopping at the bars or drinking with friends like he used to. She has never been married, although she does have a kid, so I'm just a little surprised why she thinks bachelor life is appropriate for someone who is obviously NOT single? With two kids and responsibilities. I don't get it. So of course J is going to get it from all the guys at work about that, too. And that makes me ANGRY. Johnny is pretty impressionable. One of the few qualities of his that I really dislike. He is concerned about how people perceive him, if they think he's lame. All that machismo BS.
He's come a long way since I met him. For example, he used to not use coupons. Not EVER. He was too embarrassed. To use a coupon! That's ridiculous lol Now he is bringing home coupon books that he buys from his coworkers kids fundraisers and making us have separate checkouts so we can use two! hahah that's a small example, a silly one, but it's just a little indication of how he has changed. For the better, in my mind. And in his mom's, and my parents, too.
So if Mandy thinks she can come around and try to stir things up just because she's miserable and wants some company, she's got another think coming. I'm just not sure exactly what to do to remedy this situation. Mandy has always intimidated me. Just her lack of giving a shit. About anything or anyone.
