heres a couple of questions from an interview with matt holt of nothingface in 99 i thought it was interesting

Anthony: Any embarrassing stage moments that stick out?
Matt: Actually yeah. I once did a show with my dick hanging out and didn't even know it. What happened was, I took a piss before we went on stage and the button on my boxers had un-snapped and my fly was down. So I had my dick hanging out all show. I couldn't understand why these girls down in the front row were laughing and pointing. Then after we got off stage, I figured it out. Then in the same town a couple of months later. I made the mistake of playing a show in shorts, which I'll never do again. Everytime I'd put my foot up on the barrier I'd have girls reaching into my shorts grabbing my balls! Some guys are goin "well why are you complaining about that", but when strange girls are grabbing your nuts when your trying to work, it doesn't go over well.

Anthony: Where did the title for the album come from (An Audio Guide To Everyday Atrocity)?
Matt: Bill our bass player actually blurted it out at practice one day. It just seemed to fit. There are a wide range of emotions on the record. It ranges from girlfriends to religion. I have a problem with Christian religion. It started out as an honest thing but it's been sold by rednecks as a business! That I have a problem with. We talk about Satan a lot but we're not a Satanic band like Slayer was back in the day. The image of the devil and what the devil stands for as freedom is feeling out your own soul, living life the way you want and doing what the fuck you want to do, keep yourself happy. That is how life should be lived, not by a list of fucking rules. Don't kill people, don't lie....everyone lies but they ruined Christianity. Even the dollar bill has on it "In God We Trust", espically when the government is supposed to be impartial to religion yet that's still on there. They say all this shit but they keep it in the background. They say it without saying it. Until there is a different political party that comes into power, then things might start to change. Our generation is a smarter generation and we question things. We've seen how fucked up it can be. It's amazing to me that you can find cocaine in 25 legal forms on the pharmicutical market but yet a joint is like the end of the world. One out of four people in the united states smokes marijuana, that's more people than drink alcohol. Marijuana has never been the cause of car accidents, or overdoses. If anything alcohol has caused more accidents and deaths than anything. We're going through what prohibition was in the '20's only extended. Sure they want to get rid of the black market, fine legalize it! Sell a pack of 10 joints for 5 bucks. It'll be better weed, more accessible, you'd be able to get it at 7-11, and it'll turn away alcoholism. People will have the right to choose what they want to do. Sure heroin, crack shit like that fuck up people bad! They should be gone. I'd be more pissed of if my kid (I don't have any yet) came home drunk than if he came home high. He's high, fine at least I know he won't die. He won't be out ramming his car into someone else. He also won't be out doing stupid shit, like getting into fights, using fake id's to get into bars.
