(no subject)
Maybe it's the weather, maybe tis the season...maybe it's the air of depression pervading through personalities and bank accounts all around me...BUT for whatever reason, I have become addicted to reading the fluffiest, slice of life shoujo manga I can find.
Every lunch break, my feet drag me towards the barnes & noble where I sit, huddled in my coat, squeeing out loud like a million year old woman watching her soap operas on teevee! It would be embarrassing if I didn't love it so much! ^^ "Nooo, Hachi don't go with Takumi, he's evil! HE'S EVIL!! AHHHH!! Get with Nobu, what are you doing?!!!" "Holy shit Morita why are you a crazy!!????" "Lookit Yuki! He finally learned to be a person! OMG OMG OMG!!!" And then I come back to work all happy, and filled with fluffy glee, with the knowledge that I'll be right back there the next day. Small joys, eh?
SO! I feel like sharing some favorites!!! Because they're so cute!! And they make me feel a bit better!
1) Honey and Clover (Hachimitsu to Clover)
I LOVE THIS THING SOO MUCH! I think half the reason might be because I appreciate stories where the characters are my age (instead of high school...otherwise I feel sad and old, grr!~) Anyway this series is about disgruntled kids in a Tokyo art college (and continues till a bit after they've graduated). They're all so squishy!!
BUT! I think one of the best recommenders for the show, is this little scene here!
Morita enjoys torturing little Hagu (who's 20, but dude, poor kid looks like she's 8...or 6...I KNOW HOW THAT GOES! ^^;;;)
WAGH~!! I love her!
It's a moment, dudes!!
but then...
AHAHHAHAH I love people who can't handle their emotions!! Oh Morita, there there. The scream he emits during this scene pretty much makes the whole thing ;)
Which leaves little Hagu, here, to have the very best of WTF moments. ^^
I am pretty much addicted to this damn thing. It just gets cuter and cuter...and sadder and sadder! AND!!!

2) NANA!!!
Oh man, so the most guilty of all the manga I read/watch is probably, this ridiculous thing right here.
It's about two chicks, both named Nana, who move to Tokyo and live in an apartment...and the one with the dark hair is all badass and wanting to be a singer with her band Black Stones, and the other is all spastic and sort of ineffective but she tries!

OHH! AND AND!! Here's my favorite song from the live action movie! ^^ ehehehhe I stomp to it with great determination on sad days! ^^
