Two things

May 21, 2010 06:05

First - any suggestions for what this PMDrp should be named?

Secondly, and more importantly - off to take my English graduation requirement exam, hoping for the best...!

update: that was the easiest test I've taken in years. Kind of makes me worry - this is the minimum requirement? o_O the fuck is happening in our school system?

rl, things holo will likely never finish

Call it PMDrp.

I have no idea actually. I'm terrible with names.

/no help whatsoever

Good luck with your exam!

haha, I'm thinking of just defaulting to that....but I'm worried about the other one out there, it might be arrogant to take "PMDrp" when more than one is being made. D:

Thanks! It went really well!

Well, maybe you could name it after something in the game? As long as the name is simple and easy to remember :D

Hmmm....something in the game....

-thinks-

which reminds me, I still haven't named all of the islands. The first and smallest is Crown Island, but there are two more....and a name for the whole archipelago.

Well, once you've figured out a name for the archipelago, maybe you could use that?

that's probably the best route.

of course, actually settling on something is gonna be tough. There's no real theme to name it after...unless you count that Lugia is the ~MAIN LEGEND~ around these parts, and the Birds troll around.

So...it's like the anime version of the orange islands?

Color wheel says make 'em the Blue islands.

...wat

b-but pmd doesn't do colornames

It has Lugia! And the three birds! Obviously, it is the pmd counterpart of the orange islands 8D

Kidding, kidding.

Do you have a name for the character(s) who discovered the islands? Maybe you could derive a name from that, keeping in with the fashion of explorers naming places after themselves/kings/queens/their home countries

WELL. I'M SURE SUNNY'S BOOKS CAN HOLD IT ALL.

BUT FIRST - TO NAME THE EXPLORERS or you have to resort to a latin name which is weird because it's pokemon.

y-yeah.

Luckily, I'm pretty good at coming up with weird Pokeverse names (lol Mogolliber), so I guess just...let it come to me? idk

/types as she brainstorms

They were Water-types, definitely. To cross the sea and all.

...maybe they caught a glimpse of Lugia beneath the waves

and then came back to spread the word

Their team name became the name of the islands

THAT NAME IS.....

.....
.....
.....

...Team Wavecrest?

Wavecrest islands sounds pretty cool. If you wanted to derive something from it...well...

WHERE ARE THOSE WEIRD NAME GENERATING THINGS WHEN YOU NEED THEM
