I was finally cast in a main stage production.
And not only was I cast, but I was cast as a lead!! I am Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windosr. I'm one of the two f-ing wives of Windsor. That was not the role I expected to get and it shocks me.
I feel...vindicated? No, that's too aggressive. I don't know what I feel. It's not accomplished, though that is the biggest known feeling. When I called my mum to tell her, I actually started to cry. After all the work I went through last year and all the work I felt like I put into the department this year, I feel like I've finally been accepted.
I will be in a curtain call on Reeves Stage.
I will be walking into the theater an hour and half before shows and putting my things down at one specific seat for about two weeks and putting on makeup and joking with the cast.
