For some reason a couple of months ago I got the idea into my head that I had to get back into video editing - in fact I heard a song and though 'I'm going to make a Birds of Prey video'. I've even sent the last month ripping my BoP DVDs, carefully converting each episode so they were all the same size and all 13 episodes are now taking up 20GB of my hard drive (and that isn't even at 100% quality). When it came to starting I forgot the original idea I had and it dawned on me I haven't edited a music video for about two years and I'm very, very out of practice.
Half a day after I started editing and I now remember why I stopped editing. I hate slow computers while editing! Drives me crazy.
On top of that...I don't even know if I can hit a good standard of editing - which also slows me down as I go over things over and over again.
So far I've got 30 seconds edited together and I'm not 100% sure if I still have...well...a knack for editing. I'm not saying I was a master by any means, but I wasn't totally bad. Looking at what I've done so far I think I'm only 70% happy with what I've done. Maybe I'm watcing it all back too much.
Oh well, vent over. I'll keep at it and see what comes of it, when I'm done I might feel better about something I used to enjoy doing so much.
