Slashy things you noticed in the sequel

Dec 21, 2011 17:38

We had one like this for the first film, and some of you caught the tiniest yet delicious split-second scenes that made the rest of us go 'AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH' (in a happy, fangirl sort of way), so I figured we could do the same with the sequel :)

pairing: holmes/watson, movie: sequel, movie: discussion

'Lie down with me Watson'

I can't be the only one who sat there and went 'Is this actually happening!?!' at that point.

I was squeeing internally. So loud I couldn't hear the next line.

The little smile/downward glance Holmes makes at the same time Watson does a little side-eye/smirk in Holmes' direction after Mycroft says he's not as slow witted as Holmes had led him to believe :3 It's such a quick little moment but it gets me every time!

Not a tiny scene but DANCING TOGETHER? ;)

Also holding hands as Holmes helps a hungover Watson to his wedding. :)

"Oh, how I've missed you, Holmes."

The look that passed between them when Watson first finds Holmes in the tower wreckage.

*sighs happily*

In case anyone missed it the way I did the first time around:

Holmes calls Watson "John" at one point, during what became of the stag party (when Watson hands over the wedding ring, and Holmes makes a quip about not wanting him to 'lose it in a bet').

Considering the consistency with which they usually stick to surnames, that one got a smile out of me.

It's even more hilarious when Mary is all "John!" and he totally ignores her when she suggests shutting the door, but a few moments later when drag!Holmes is all "John! Shut the door!" Watson doesn't hesitate.

John Shut the Door. The way he spoke it, not a question, not a command, not a plea. Just spoken like one old domestic partner to another, and caried out by the other with no thought but to trust and do as told.

How about the way Holmes kept his eyes closed as he fell to his death, resigned to his fate, and the fact that the last thing he would see on this earth was the face of John Watson.

THIS.

The way that the look at Watson was enough, nothing needed to be said. There were a few seconds that a goodbye could of been spoken, but that look spoke everything between them.... *cries*

And that DT gif makes me even more sad... talk about the most sad I've ever been during a Doctor Who episode. :(
