Great story! I really like how you combine those canon stories into a convincing mystery, just like the BBC episodes did. Interesting new take on the Holmes/Trevor relationship, too. I got interrupted yesterday somewhere in the middle of the confrontation in the park, and was really frustrated because I was dying to know what was behind all this.

And, of course, I loved the romance, Sherlock-style:

It reminded Sherlock of when he first held a vital organ in his hands

- how romantic :-)

... plus John looking after a sick Sherlock always melts my heart.

Oh yes, and John in a deerstalker!
