So. First time posting on AO3. How did it all go?

I'll start.

Apparently AO3 is designed so that hidden stories in a challenge are to be all revealed at once. If you want to reveal them one by one, you have to manually log in, click a bunch of times to get to the right area, then find the story you want (which were in an asinine order), then uncheck a little box, then hit save. Every. Single. Time. On LJ we scheduled the entries. And as some of you noticed, more than once, the mods weren't always Johnny On The Spot with the AO3 entries getting revealed at the same time the posts went up. We blamed Buzzfeed, naps, being in the middle of the wilderness, and "I thought the other mod was doing it, sorry!" It was maddening on my end, was it maddening on yours too?

The shortened posting time was also a little nerve-wracking for extensions. Mostly for us. We were also a little quicker to send things out for pinch-hit rather than giving people a chance to catch up. That's a back-end thing, but I think it caught a few people by surprise. Everyone who signs up gets a work created for them and we will do just about anything to make sure that happens.

But it seems like people are happy with the AO3 format? Should we stick with it? Also seems like people are happy with the continued sign-up format and everything?

Us mods are always open to suggestions, comments, critiques and questions. Please feel free to leave any in the comments below. We're happy to hash it out.

And also, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU all, from the bottom of our hearts, for all of your thanks to us. It means so much, so, so, so much that you enjoy Holmestice and look forward to each round every year. We love you.
