Could This be Real? #7

Oct 03, 2009 19:29

Title: "Could this be real?"
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 156 words (in this part)
Spoilers: Any episode is fair game....
Summary: House's diagnostic skills are put to the test when Wilson and Cameron both get sick.
Author's Notes: The title comes from the song "Could this be real?" by Star. Originally posted to my old journal, eventually abandoned, though I might eventually return to continue the story (obviously, I've picked the story back up again). Also, this story was written prior to when I first met med_cat, so that means that the medicine in this story is all based on what was easily found on google back in 2007.

Chapter 7: Twists in the Tapestries
"HOUSE!"
Feverish ice blue met worried chocolate brown. Recognition ignited in his eyes.
"Wilson...you're alright?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" the oncologist demanded, raising an eyebrow.
"I thought you had caught something serious from a patient," House explained.
Holding up a bandaged hand, Wilson replied, "Well, thanks to you, I've been exposed to small pox."
"What about--" House began, but a female voice beat him to the punch.
"I volunteered to help Wilson take care of you, but we are hoping that the vaccine will at least protect me from contracting it," Cameron interjected.
"But I don't have--"
"You probably will in a few days," Cameron interrupted. "You've not yet hit that stage."
House stared fish-like at them for a time before he found his voice again.
"You may want to lie down, Wilson."
"Why?"
"I'd rather not have to find out well you deal with both a small pox infection AND a concussion," House explained.
