Mass post of messages for several people I'd like to say something to...I plan to make this a weekly thing, every friday...
kcscribbler, I was re-reading your story, Tiger, Tiger, and it inspired a crazy idea--the characters of the Sherlock Holmes stories as animals, what creatures would they be. In the coming days, I shall think more upon that idea and perhaps expand on it.
wirral_bagpuss, I need another artistic challenge like the art I made you of Mr. Brett. If you happen to have a photo of anything at all that you would like painted in same way, please let me know, I'd just love to make it. Besides, my personal collection of photos still hasn't recovered from when the motherboard of my old laptop crashed last fall. I need something to work from on my own...else I come up with naught but empty space. :D
med_cat, I recently read your fic (I can't remember the title off the top of my head at the moment), the one with Watson and a flea-bitten kitten, and I have a few criticisms about it, but it mostly has to do with the fact that feral cats rarely have fleas. Stray cats are more likely to have fleas than feral ones. And yes, there is a difference between feral and stray. Strays are the cats who once depended on humans for survival, ferals never have. Anyways, I totally loved the story, I hope you don't mind me using it as an example for explaining the difference between stray and feral cats and beliefs held by "the unexposed"--people who don't spend a lot of time working in animal shelters/reading a lot about cats.
