Behold the Supertheory!

O HAI GUYS! *pokes head out like a bb meerkat*

I haven't talked much about Ashes to Ashes this series because, well because I was rather uninspired by the first two eps. :/ I did not like what I was seeing since what I was seeing looked suspiciously like Life on Mars. (Except worse, right? Cuz of that ookie Keeley Hawes being all up in thar instead ( Read more... )

ashes to ashes, meta

Oh noes! Well I'm glad you found it in the end. :)

Supertheory is HARDCORE AWESOME! I love it so much cuz it's all BOOYAH! IN UR FACE! Want 3x08, too. Too bad we have to wait an infinity for it again! Bah. Beeb.

Strangely, I felt that A2A 2x03 was more like LoM than the first two eps. It even had some LoM music! Which I did not like, because BLEH, NO. Doesn't mean that the ep wasn't awesome, though ♥
REALLY?! I just felt no connection to 1-2 at all. Maybe it's because I thought Alex was a little off in terms of character. There was no way she would be forgetting Molly suddenly when the week before she was seeing her. And then the weeafk ter she's totes fine and dandy as well. So ep 2 failed on that. And ep 1 looked horribly like LoM. Soes Not Want! Blech.

(and I still miss Caroline Price :( )
OMG YANA! I just saw her in a play and had to bite my fist from screaming out "Eeee! CAROLINE PRICE ILU!" I miss Alex's fam. I miss her missing them. I wish there was some sort of emotional spark when she saw the bomb go off in 2x03. Not just cuz it was A LITTLE GIRL ON THE WAY TO HER B-DAY PARTY, but because it was a bomb. Remember how you hate bombs, Alex? You know, Evan's still around. Why can't she meet up with him so the show remembers that S1 happened.

You mean, in ten years when we'll all have gone slightly mad from the speculating and paranoid from the clues-that-are-in-fact-just-random-things and, well, old? Yeah. *wibbles*
THIS!!! EXACTLY THIS!!!!! IT'S ALL MEANINGLESS, ISN'T IT! IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER WHAT COLOR PHONE ALEX HAS IN HER HOUSE AFTER ALL! AAAAAAAAH! CRY!!!! (lulz)

I was blinded by the Alex/Gene, which is a very strong possibility *shifty eyes*
Ah. Right-o. Then I think it's time to stand up and say that, "My name is HWG and I am kinda not a shipper. I mean I like them, but one can't really be a true shipper if the idea of seeing Gene Hunt's moobs again squicks one, right?" *runs away*

I was willing to buy that she was forgetting things because of the bullet in her head doing some damage, so even if she tried her best not to forget Molly she still would because it would completely be outside her control.
I just remember Keeley mentioning that "Alex will forget Molly's name" and I was ALL OVER THAT DRAMA! I couldn't wait for it and I thought it would be this gradual descent towards it. But BAM! Ep 2. There it is and randomly. IDK. :/ I would have put it in ep 6 or something.

You lucky you! I only saw AB in A2A and State of Play but was impressed by her performance in both occasions. How is she on stage? :p
First of all, she's FANTASTIC and completely stole the show imo. Second of all, ahem, since seeing State of Play I've sort of gone around and called her "a striking woman" because she is! She's very striking. And then in the play...THEY CALLED HER A STRIKING WOMAN SO I WAS LIKE "OMG IT'S CANON!" Heh. She's great.

however, she showed no reaction when Adrian pointed the gun at her while two episodes before she seemed really afraid of Kevin Hales for a moment when he pointed his rifle at her. I dunno. Different writers = continuity discrepancies? (it shouldn't :( )
EXACTLY!!! It's the lack of character continuity that irks me. Like don't bring it up if you're not gonna use it, but at the same time it's like OMG PLS BRING IT UP CUZ SHE SHOULD BE FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW! (It really shouldn't! Sometimes I blame Britain's lack of a Writer's Room for this kind of continuity imbalance. Grr.)

You mean the fact that there's RED everywhere /= BLOOD /= MOLLY BEING DEAD /= SUICIDE?? OH NOES!
IT'S ALL A COINCIDENCE CUZ THE PROP HOUSE RAN OUT OF EVERY OTHER COLOR AND THEY WERE LIKE, "MEH, LET'S JUST USE THE RED STUFF!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! *runs around flailing*

And then she'll have a wake-up call and be all "! O_O !!! ;_; " and then she can remember that Molly died and that she shot herself. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking, because the end of season 2 would be too soon for that. *agonizes over stupid complex addictive TV show*
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! WIN! Yeah, well that's HOBVIOUSLY what's going to happen, k? It will! It willllll! Maybe in S3 tho. Bah.

I still think that forgetting her name is like the very least step on the forgetting-your-daughter timeline. Forgetting her eyes and the time she went to bed etc that makes sense. But she sees her appear and every time she's like, "Molly!" that I think for Alex, Molly's face serves like a trigger to remember her name. She equates the two. That's why in that ep when she suddenly saw Molly look like the little girl from The Ring it sort of made sense, but the fact that she seemingly couldn't remember her face also seemed sudden when the week before she saw Molly just fine and heard her name and everything. I srsly would have saved that card for laters. :/

Re: Amelia Bullmore --> HEEEE. She is. Striking. YOU LUCKY YOU! (I hope the play was good too lol :p )
I actually thought the play was kinda poopy, but Amelia Bullmore rocked it so hard.

Yeah :/ And UK TV shows are so short you can't forgive a lack of continuity. There's no room for error because we can spot mistakes instantly and they have less time to make us forget about it or rectify them. So there. PLEASE BE MORE CAREFUL, SHOW, BECAUSE OUR HAWK EYE WILL SPOT ANYTHING.
YES! THIS!!! Be careful, you guys. And srsly, REMEMBER YOUR OWN DAMN SHOW!!! Gah.
