I think I tend to get inspired by the music, so it depends on the song. Sometimes I hear a kick ass song and I literally try to match it up with one of my fandoms because I desperately want to vid the song. And once I pair it with a fandom, that's when the images start coming of what the vid should be. ANd most of the time the images are more intense than what I'm capable of doing in Vegas, so the next step is always to try and cheat and achieve what I see with what I can actually do in the editing stage. So it's this constant creative battle. But yes, most of the time it's music first, then concept. Only when there was vortexchallenge was it concept first, then music.

At the moment it's a 3 way tie between Handlebars, that Smashing Pumpkins song from the Watchmen preview (which I sort of started playing around with today in Vegas) and this song called "Marble House" by the Knife. What about you?

I want to vid "We Want Your Soul", but I can never find the fandom for it. I actually started a vid for Regina Spektor's Your Honor, which I've wanted to do since I heard Soviet Kitch.

Wow I've never heard that "We Want Your Soul" song. I love how you choose such off the wall songs to vid. Hmm, well off the bat I somehow wanted to pair it with Heroes, but I'm not at all in that fandom so I can't really tell if it works or not. "Your Honor" is another crazy song. I'm curious as to which fandom you chose for that.

As much as I want to make a "We Want Your Soul" vid, I don't think I will. I have so many vid ideas that it's getting to the point where I'll never be able to make them all.
I think Heroes could work.
I'm doing Your Honor for Weeds. I don't think you watch it, but it's on Showtime and I adore the show. I have a few pieces done. I'm doing it for this season and there's 2 more episodes to air, so I'm hoping to finish it for vidukon.

That's totally the case with me. In fact it's mathematically impossible for me to get them all done. :/
Ah Weeds. I watched the first season and then sort of fell off. But it's really great that you have such variety in your vidding habits. I tend to stick to the basics.

I adore Weeds. This season has been great. They finally switched things up. The suburbia setting was getting old and they moved the show to TJ and changed the set up. I'm actually vidding it right now in my other window. Wee!
