Well, I sent out a box of my bro's car and truck magazines to SSgt. David A. Mims (Attn: Any Soldier) today. Yay! I feel like I've done something worthwile. Just knowing my box will be given to a soldier who needs a little something to cheer him up. Gives me warm fuzzies.
I hope I hear back from whomever SSgt. Mims gives the box to. I included a large envelope with some lined paper, a pen and a pre-addressed and stamped envelope for him. Hoping that will increase my chances. Hehe. I even put both (home and work)of my emails at the end of the letter.
I also sent out just a letter to a SGT. Troy M. Carter. The pic that was posted made it seem like SGT. Carter was in charge of some really funny guys. According to the post they've written back to everyone that has sent them something. So we'll see if I get anything back from them. Hope I do. That would be cool.
Still have to look for one group or company with just one female. I have some Cosmopolitan mags I could send her. Should send her some really girlie stuff too. Like lots of pink. Some pink bedding maybe. Hehe. I mean surrounded by guys all the time... can't be that much fun.
Then again.... I don't think I'd mind it one bit.
UPDATE!
I've found some icons I like better... ((sigh)) Don't you agree? Hehe. So decided another theme change was in order. I like the old style better, but they didn't have a red theme for that one. Grrr. And I'm not sure if I'm feeling this one... but Christmas is almost here anyway.
Plus... I mean... it's got two of my weakness... Jake Gyllenhaal and a guy in a military uniform... or half out of it in this case! LMAO. Guh. I could stare at my icons all day. I can't wait for Jarhead to come out on DVD.
Let me know what you think of the layout. Likey or no likey?
