This is a brilliant article, and there's nothing like being vindicated on what you've been saying for years. Shame I'm not in touch anymore with the Serie A fans I used to talk to, or I'd cheerfully point out how I told them so. Borriello is a serious talent and will be an important part of Milan's future if only he's given a chance, Ronaldinho is (still!) a brilliant player if given the freedom to do his thing, Beckham's still got it, Pirlo is better as a deep-lying mid sending balls to the guys up front rather than an attacking mid. Called it!
I was also right about Kaka (not so magical when stripped of the mythology), Gilardino (criminally undervalued at Milan), the disastrous Ronaldo-at-Milan experiment, and Mauro Zarate, whom I picked out as star quality all the way back when he was at Velez Sarsfield. However, despite Serie A being the best fucking league and I will never say otherwise, I actually don't mind the rumors of Zarate going to England. As good as he is in Serie A, I have a feeling the guy will be even better in the Prem.
Now, 20 minutes 'til we eviscerate Inter and make 'em like it!
