Correction. I got home at 3ish from work and internet is working. Yessssssssssssssss. Anyway, work was kinda boring. We mainly had paperwork and all that garbagefor the first hour and a half before being sent off to the Student Center to go work in a lab on how to do some basic things and get some vocal quizzes. Our instructor guy is named Jean and he's pretty awesome. Older guy probably fifties with SUSPENDERS which alone make him awesome but he's a huuuuge nerd. I showed him a few work-arounds for the internet I had already found because I'm cool like that and I tried my best to get some internet last night and some of them worked as far as registering my pc on the network when all that stuff was down for maintenance and he was all impressed and showed everyone else and stuff, made me feel good ^_^ He showed us some basic stuff, he's a pro PC'r and a pro Mac'r and has no preferance and loves them just the same. He's a pretty laid back and cool guy, he chats with the other professors over aol which is great. He had aol open while he was presenting so he kept getting harrassed by some of the students(only about 15 of us total) in the classs who saw his screen name and he got a good laugh out of it all. I found out today that I get $6.25 instead of the normal $5.65 for this first week since no ones here and it's considered a bit of overtime so that's pretty cool. Granted it goes back down in a week but $5.65 is still money, about $500 a month. My room smells like axe exploded and I'm swimming in it because I got back to my dorm and my parents decided to leave some Soft Patch cookies on my desk last night and the ants found them. There was a steady stream of like a quabillion ants swarming the bag and a line forming from the crack in the window where they came from. I grabbed some Kleenex and soaked it with Axe and shoved it in the hole, die you fuckers. I then went on and hunted for possible alternate exits and promptly plugged those as well. Threw the bag of cookies infested with ants in the garbage(R.I.P.) and sprayed it down with axe until I saw no more movement and then once more for good measure. That's about it for now O_o IM me if you want more in-depth details.
