the flu sucketh

Jan 13, 2006 01:19

late sunday night i started getting sick. what i thought might be a head cold sunday night turned into the flu by monday. it is friday at 1:20 am and i am just now feeling a little better.

i haven't been out of the house since sunday. i thought i would do something productive today. i have an enormous hope chest that my parents gave to me on my 18 birthday. it is packed to the point of overflowing. i haven't looked through it in probably 5 years. so what did i decide to do today? you guessed it. what interesting things i found. i decided it was too full and that i could probably throw some things out for good. joey soon noticed, as i swam through my dearest memories, that i was throwing 1 out of every 50 things away. that doesn't seem like much. however, the thing i wonder most is this:
if these items meant enough to me for me to keep them, then why am i able to throw them away after some time?

on we go. i also found the books from all the plays, comedies, musicals, ballets, & operas joey and i have been to together. i am still lacking les mis, the phantom (we've only seen it separately), and a few other favorites of ours. you interested? probably not. but here are a few :

Don Giovanni - The Passionate Thing To Do
Rent - w/ most of the original tony award winning cast
It's A Wonderful Life - my favorite movie brought to stage. he won my heart w/ taking me to this one.
Cats
Chicago - w/ robbitay!
The Graduate - featuring Kelly McGillis
The Nutcracker
Dracula
Beauty and The Beast

in a couple of months i will see my first Cirque show!! yay!

this was a completely pointless entry. haha!
