Ok, so Kim probably posted about most of this already, but I want a turn too! I'll see how right I am after I write this... it's a little long, so I'll be nice...
Other than that things have been ok. I've been studying verses and ideas from the Bible more throrougly lately and I love it. I've been a lot more drained again... please pray for me. I need these darn iron pills to work... and more than anything I would like to have the same amount of energy as every other normal person in the world. I feel like I could and should be doing a lot more... but I just can't find the energy for it. I don't want to sleep my life away.. blah.
Thanks to those of you who have been helping me, advising me, encouraging me, and praying for me through all of this. It helps so much. Thanks Geoff for always reminding me. Keeping it constantly on my mind helps! To those of you who know what's going on in my life, please continue to pray that I will be strong, constantly seek what God wants and that His will be truly what my heart desires.
And I can't believe they rented our apartment... now we have to pick another one. Ugh!
Onto the fun...
Friday night was a little crazy. My directions got us lost in the middle of Huntington Park (which is where exactly...?) but Kim and her dad saved us and we still got to Jimmy Kimmel Live on time. First off, it's definitely true, the camera does add weight to people. I always thought Jimmy Kimmel was chubby... but he totally looked like a normal guy. Weird. Jimmy Eat World was awesome. They played six songs, three off the new cd and three from their last. It may have been tough to get there, but I'm glad we went. After we went across the street to eat, we stood and watched an ex-crack addict who said he was sober (he seemed to be so) perform for at least 20 minutes. Soon after he started, he tried to grab me to come help him. I felt awful because he'd just asked us to move in saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm only black," and all I could do was shake my head and hide behind Kim and Trever. It wasn't that, it's just that there's no way I'm going to the middle to do anything where that many people are watching. Definitely too much of a chicken for that. So, then he grabs Sarah... I thought she was going to be mad at me for not going because she had to. Um... I don't think so. He picks a mexican, a black girl and an asian girl and showed us how each of them dance... Sarah tore it up. It was great. I can't believe she did it, and I never knew she could dance. I was laughing so hard I was crying. It was great. Then when he picked guys he picked Geoff and Trever for two of the four. I'm not sure why he liked our group so much... Anyway, they were both hilarious... I mean, wow. Definitely have dance styles of their own...!
