Joe v. Holly

Feb 24, 2005 12:12

As tensions reached a climax on Saturday, February 19th, everyone braced for what appeared to be more bloody battling. Some people took sides, some headed for cover.

Then in an unexpected counter move, Holly crossed into 'enemy' territory and offered up an olive branch, in the form of a whiskey and coke.

Joe returned the peace offer and a cease fire was 'officially' declared on Tuesday, February 22. With some well timed intervention by a german band "Wolfsheim", the two waring parties, set down down their weapons and upt on their dancing shoes. Peace talks lasted through the night and into the next day.

Peace talks are continuing and reparations are being made, however each side is proceeding cautiously. Each 'nation' has suffered heavy losses and is still nursing it's battle wounds. It will undoubtly take many months of damage control before both 'nations' are able to repair and rebuild.

Although much skepticism as to the intentions of each party has been expressed, public opinion polls indicate that a majority of those polled are "happy to see an end to the fighting" and "hope the peace talks lead to stronger and healthier 'nations'."
