My daughter, in grade 6, hates pink, kicks the boys' butts in sports when she puts her mind to it, and rolls her eyes whenever I tell her it's time to read, says to me in the car today, "This is hard for me to say, mom. But you were right when you said I'd really enjoy reading once I found something I liked."
