Note: Song where I got my inspiration was "Slow Dancing" by Johnny Rivers visualized this scene in my head when I heard the Chorus.
Richard Castle awoke to the cries of his infant daughter Alexis. “I’ll get her, you stay where you are Meredith.” Rick got a mumbled okay. A few seconds later Rick stumbled into his daughter’s nursery. “Hey there princess, daddy’s here,” he cooed as he scooped her up in his arms. He took her over to the changing table to narrow down the list of possibilities for his little one’s cries. “No dirty diaper, so that means hungry. Good thing for you the kitchen’s open all night. Time for a little midnight snack.” At that comment Alexis let out an even louder cry. “Okay, daddy's got the hint. Feed me Seymour.”
By the time Castle got Alexis’ bottle ready she would not take it, “Come on baby bird, lets get that tummy of yours filled.” Alexis still refused the bottle and picked up in her crying. Rick let out a sigh, desperate times called for desperate measures. He walked with Alexis into the living room and turned on his stereo to the local oldies station. A slow song had just begun to play. “May I have this dance?” Rick asked his daughter as he started to sway to the music and move around the room. Alexis’ cries started to subside and she snuggled into to her father’s arms. Rick then started to sing along to the chorus of the song, “Slow Dancin’, swayin’ to the music. Slow dancin’ just me and my girl. No one else in the whole wide world.” In the weeks and months to come Rick would use this song many times to help put Alexis to sleep or to calm her.He would consider it their song.

“Now what’s this about a police call box?” questioned Kate looking at Esposito.
“Take a look for yourself.” said Esposito with a nod of his head towards the break room.
“Castle’s in there.”
Kate muttered an oath under her breath and headed into the breakroom
When she got there she saw Rick talking to a man with unruly hair wearing a tweed-like suit and a red bow tie.
“So this must be your lady friend.” said the mystery man with an accent.
“That it is. Kate, this is the Doctor. Doctor, this is Kate.”
“Doctor of what?”
“Just the Doctor. Come along you two. I need your help.”
“Us? A police officer and a writer?” questioned Kate a little shocked.
“Yes, yes. ”
“This is so cool!”
“Castle, he’s probably from one of the mental hospitals.”
“Aren’t you two cute. Like a married couple. The matter at hand deals with your future.”
“Let me guess your last name wouldn’t happen to be Brown would it?” smirked Rick
“No, no, no. I usually go by Smith? Why?”
“It’s a-”
“Come along,” said the Doctor cutting him off, “And bring your friends too. We have a mystery to solve.” Ryan and Esposito at this time entered the break room. All four were then ushered into the blue police box.
“It’s it’s a-”
“Space ship.” said Ryan
“No, time machine. Let’s see.. New New New York here we come.”

OOC:
Kate Beckett couldn't believe her when she walked into the bull-pen of the 12th precinct to see Ryan holding a lap sized dog with Esposito standing next to his partner with an amused look on his face. “I got your call. What’s up, and where’s Castle?”
“You’re looking at him.” came Castle’s disembodied voice as the dog moved it’s mouth.
“Very funny Castle, you can come out from behind Esposito’s desk.” Kate waited a beat, but Castle didn’t pop up from behind the desk with a loopy grin on his face.
“How did this happen?”
“I happened to tick off the wrong person. I wok up this morning like this.”
“Isn’t he cute?” questioned Ryan in a goofy voice
“In a Hooch sort of way.” smirked Kate as Castle let out a whine.
“We’re running down the whereabouts of the Witch that Castle last talked to.” Castle whined again, “I’m never gonna be a real boy again.”
“Stay positive. Look at it this way bro, it could have been a lot worse, you could have woken up as a mouse.”
