ok, for real update
So,
i dont even remember the last time I updated this thing, besides early posting about how awesome Jersey is. I am so tired...and its not because I didn't sleep well. According to Howie, when he came to bed, 20 minutes after me, i was out, he actually moved me around so he could position his arm under me and I didn't even wake up...I don't remember this at all, ...I can't believe I was that tired..I don't know why either.
As I said early, its almost labor day, its slow here. Lots of people must already be on vacation because the phones are pretty dead (as the phone rings)No, but really...nothing is happening here....the time is crawling. I also found out I'm going to a show tonight that I forgot to put in my calendar...I'm wearing jeans. I HATE wearing jeans to a show, i feel so shlumpy...ugh...Oh well, its some little off-broadway house nearby so probably won't be a big deal that i'm in jeans.
I FINALLY got a key to the office..well 2 keys since thats what is needed to open the door. I don't know if i'll ever need them per say,but its nice to have.
Very sad thing has happened. Howie's friend Mark from Columbia is moving back to Florida because he can't find any jobs around the city...He will be missed, he's a really funny guy.
Howie and I are doing well as usual. We had quite the busy summer..went down to the shore, went camping, saw many friends , attended a number of parties. Swam like twice....can't believe the summer is over. This will be my second fall season not starting school...couldn't say I'm bummed at all about it. I am enjoying my job more and more each day (except today cuz its quiet and boring and i read all the online news one could take in a day)..I've been given a lot of responsabilities and I think for the most part i've been able to step up to the challenge. There are definitely moments of screwups and spacing out..but to be honest, the more busy I am, the better I tend to do. Howie and i actually have it down to a routine where we make our lunches together for the next day, I have a coffee pot at the condo ready to brew fresh coffee in the morning, and we eat our dinner outside on the balcony....Its very nice.
I finally was able to put up a picture of Howie and me by my desk. My desk is tiny. Its a small desk that is meant to fit in a small NY space...so I don't have room for pictures on my desk, but i have the tiniest frame that just looks darling on my desk. I really like my set up...I have a HUGE movie poster hanging on the wall write in frong of me..nice to look at. and although i have no window near me, i can kinda lean over my desk and see the huge window in the office, so its not that depressing...My boss although can have his moments I is pretty awesome. I think I've gotten more used to the tense moments and know how to handle them better (aka stay the hell away and just do your work silently) But those tense moments don't seem to occur as often...
I saw a few good shows this summer. Drowsy Chaperone, and Sweeney Todd on Broadway, as well as Rent on Broadway. I also saw Macbeth and Mother Courage during Shakespeare in Central park....I saw some show called "Girl Scouts of America" which played during the Fringe festival...Howie came to that (i felt bad..i mean just look at the title) although he's a ridiculous sweetheart and claims he liked it.
Well, just got some work to do for the next 5 minutes.
