Even though I got fried, I had an awesome time at the Jersey shore this weekend! Saturday we went to Cape May, the southernmost point in NJ. It's an old beach resort town and we walked along the beach, stuck our feet in the Atlantic (which was FOLD!) and explored the old Victorian streets. We then drove out to the Cape May Lighthouse and went to the top for some awesome views of the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Last night we drove up to Absecon, right outside of Atlantic City to stay at our hotel. We had an awesome suite with an even more awesome hot tub ;-) Even though I left the sunscreen in the car and got FRIED yesterday, we drove in to Atlantic City this morning and gambled (we both lost our $20, myself MUCH faster than Alan!), walked the boardwalk and spent more time on the beach. Alan got surprised when the wave came onto shore a little further than he thought and got his feet soaked. Seriously hilarious to see him run screaming. Atlantic City is very much like Vegas, but on a smaller scale.
I've been missing the lake a lot lately, and it was so nice to get away for a couple days. I SOOOO do not want to go back to work tomorrow! (it doesn't help that it's supposed to be in the 80s again tomorrow either :-) )
