TALAWANDA DRAMA HITS THE BIG TIME!

Jan 27, 2005 20:17

OH MY GOD!!! Today we found out that our little production of Stephen Schwartz's "Pippin" was mentioned in an L.A. Magazine "U-Daily". Here's the passage:

"His Web site, www.stephenschwartz.com, currently reports no fewer than 72 productions of "Pippin" scheduled for the 2005 calendar year, ranging from the version staged by Gordon Hunt for Reprise! to a weekend run in March at Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio. Apparently Pippin, the happiness- and fulfillment-seeking hero of the fairy tale set during the reign of Charlemagne, is alive and very much on the move." (U-Daily)

I can't believe it! But as Steffen said they probably only mentioned us because we are the most unknown out of the way High School you could find for something like that....even though we got honorable comments from the writer of "Honk" for our production and Steffen's idea to do the underwater scene on roller skates. I still can't believe it! Steffen has the secret hope that Schwartz will show up at one of our performances, which would be incredible (we think Steffen would faint)....but would probably never happen....oh well, just a thought.

Well I suppose I should go now as I have some homework to do, but I'm going to try and beat my game one more time, night!!!
