Ace (and more quiz results)
Well, today we had a 10AM to 9PM rehearsal (yeah, long) and we only got one or two actual breaks. So the assistant stage manager Alex and me went to Ace hardware to get some screws and wood for the set. There was a cute guy at the register and he helped me out with the wood first then I asked him were the screws were and he took us there instead of just saying and then just stayed with us to help us find them. When I was checking out he was joking a little and then told me to pull around back to get the wood. As soon as we walk out Alex starts laughing and says that he was totally flirting...I had thought that it was just me. Then we pull around I get out and he loads these huge pieces of wood into my trunk and it goes all the way to the radio (we had the back seats down. So when all the wood is loaded he starts to leave but when Alex and I get in the car we see that the wood is covering the thing you use to shift gears So we burst out laughing and she almost gets out of the car and the guy is looking at us like we're laughing at him, but we maanged toget out okay.
Then a little later we had to go back to get paint and a magnet (don't ask), he's still there and we don't ask for help at first because I know where the paint is...but Alex didn't and she went the wrong way while I went ahead and went the right way. Well she comes over and we laugh a little about the mix up, but then the same guy comes over and says "Back so soon?" and I tell him that we need premixed paint for our set but (luckily) there wasn't any premixed paint so we had to wait for them to mix some paint. While we're waiting the guy should have gone back to the counter but instead he stays fairly close and listened (but tried not to show it) to me and Alex talk about what else we needed to do on the set. So we get the paint and magnet and check out, but as we're leaving and he says goodbye Alex says "Hopefully we won't be back." and as he isabout to say something his voice cracks but then he continued on to say that if we did come back then its not really that bad...so yeah, that made my day. Especially since Alex was pretty sure that he was more interested in me. But that's probably because she has a guy that she's goingfor at the moment so she figured that I could have this one. The only problem is that we don't know his name, so as he works at Ace we have promply dubbed him, Ace. Dumb, I know, but fun none the less. Now I'm hoping to go back soon and see him again. But it is silly, I know.
After rehearsal we went to Wendy's uptown to eat and watched the people walk by. Well Howie gets a phone call from a friend's b/f and as he's talking on the phone our friend went by in a car! I was really freaked out by it...in a funny way. Thena kid walked past with a sign but Alex motioned for him to come back and we read his sign which was about a bar in town, but it was a funny sign. So we had a lot fo fun and I'm really glad that we could spend about 12 hours together without killing eachother. Hopefully I'll be ablr to keep in touch with them when I go off to college.
