I love my tokidoki tattoos, but you know all I get is 'oh right, so... it's like anime yeh? like naruto.' No, it's not. It's not even a Japanese artist! He is Italian, doing Japanese *style* art. Then I get blank looks and realise it just comes out really snobby! My unicorno = my little pony to everyone. Rilakkuma stuff = care bears ???
BUT, I am the one who looks at them and I don't regret them :) No one else matters. I do understand though, with anime ~ you never know what will happen! My next tat was supposed to be rilakkuma, but I am a little scared he might become the next hello kitty... and I am NOT okay with that. I don't hate hello kitty, but you can't avoid it now.
I selfishly want to encourage you to get that luffy drawn mugiwara crew flag! That would be so awesome. though, it's got a long way to go, some people have already been tainted by the funimation version that happened so there is good reason to be scared!
Do what you think will make you happy :) You can't go much wrong with Nyanko ~ what ever happens, it's still going to be as cute as hell.

I do still like the idea of the Luffy flag as a tattoo. I think if I got it, though, it would be after the series is over so that I don't have to worry about being betrayed by it in some way. Like, what if the ending is super super sad? Every time I looked at my Luffy flag I would get depressed. We'll see. The right tattoo will come to me sooner or later!
