"If you can't rape your wife, who can you rape?"

This was the slogan of a Congressman while it was still legal to rape your spouse. During which wives were still considered property and spousal abuse was never reported or take care of.

This slogan is poposturous. How can someone say this about another person. Rape is a means of control used by a person on another. Just the thought of someone in our Nation's congress saying that as a accepted response to why we should allow spousal rape, just upsets me to no end. If you cannot control your sexual impulses to where they are animalistic then you need to get help. There are many other ways to relieve your "tension". Just ask any other American man. Women are not ment to be ravenged. We are ment to be loved. If being raped is a fantasy, then it might be ok, but it has to be consentual. If at any point during the fantasy that the partner chooses that this is not what they want, it should stop right then and there. No means no. Fantasies are completly different than realities. I just don't know what to say about this. My mind is just racing about what to say but I know if I write it down, it won't come out right. So I just wanna know what yall think about this quote.
