"He's a lucky man"
My Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He will be having open heart surgery tomorrow morning. The doctor told us to be prepared for at least 4 and up to 6 bypasses. Daddy hasnt been feeling well in about a month and Mom finally talked him into going to the doctor yesterday and the doctor sent him to the hospital immediately. The doctor described him as a "lucky man". Had he not gone, he wouldnt have lived until April.
Selfish me has been crying all night. I want more than anything for my Dad to walk me down the aisle in April. I want more than anything for my Dad to be here when I have children. I never knew either of my grandfathers, I dont want my children to have to go through that.
We have a long road ahead of us.
