(no subject)
So I've lived in Grand Rapids for three years now, and tonight I finally went to my first Griffins game.
It was a lot of fun! I went with a bunch of people from Campus Ministry, and it was really neat! It was also my first time at Van Andel, so that was pretty cool as well. We were playing the Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh's farm club) and we lost 2-3 in a shoot-out. Helm scored two goals, and he definitely stood out among all of the other players on the ice. He was awesome. But besides losing, the only downside was Jimmy Howard didn't play in net, and I really wanted to finally see him play, too!
Tomorrow is our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Potluck! I'm really excited...we aren't gonna have as many people as we did last year, but I know that it is still gonna be a great night, and I love these times where all of my friends can be together in the same room for a couple of hours. It should be DELISH!
And as excited as I am to see the movie Twilight, I'm still a little bitter that we can't see Harry Potter 6 today like we were supposed to...grrr.
