I've begun the new year in one of my trademark moods. But it's not like it usually is, numb and wanting to feel detached from everything around me. It's actually the opposite. It feels the same, but the urges are different.
I have always had opinions and views on these subjects, and so often they can put me in a daze for a whole days, thinking how it has come to this. How have we let it come this this? Why have we let it happen? And why aren't we doing enough about it?
I see way to much that is wrong. From the average person in the street, to the incompetent and deceiving governments that run our countries to the filthy rich that have no heart or conscious what so ever towards their fellow man. We all see it, we all know it, they are known facts. Politicians lie and rich get richer at the expense of the poor. . We accept it as part of life and carry on with our daily existence. An existence and life run by these lier's and thieves.
It would only make sense to me that majority rules. We are more then them, so why do the few control our lives? Because we let them. We sit back and take it.
What occupies your day? What thoughts cross your mind? What do you talk about at work.
The football on the weekend. The new computer game. Who bitched about who in the latest episode of 'The Bachelor'. The dress you bought on the weekend. The fact that you need a tan, your so white. Oh and i HAVE to go to the gym at least twice this week, cause i'm sooo fat and i can't live with myself.
How many think about the people dieing in other countries, how many discuss the latest amendment to the law that will make it more expensive for pensioners to buy medicine. How many read the paper (which is often one sided anyway) to at least know about what local school is being closed down.
How many will do some extra reading to understand and learn why Israel and Palestine have been fighting for so long. Or whatever happened in Afghanistan after we bombed them and left (well actually troops are still there, the media left). Do a little extra research and see who the Ford company also own.
If it's not put infront of your face then you don't bother take notice. You would rather watch Big Brother then a documentary on the horrible history of El Salvador.
We need to get off our fat asses and stop being brainwashed. Say FUCK NO, don't insult me with this shit, give me something more intelligent to watch. Say FUCK NO, I'm not going to believe your lies. and i'm not going to forget them easily. Say FUCK NO, I'm not going to help you get richer at the expense of others. I can do without that overpriced piece of junk.
Get off your ass and learn a little more about what is going on around you. There is a shit load. And most of it is being kept quite for a reason. We are so fuckn wrapped up in our petty little distractions that we don't see what is going on about us. And these governments and rich corporations rely on that so that they may carry on with their dirty business.
It affects everyone. What happens is Africa affects you, what happens in Korea affects you, what happens in Iraq affects you, what happens in the USA affects you. It all does. Your food, your electricity, gas, petrol, safety, health, future..all of it is affected buy what is happening around the world.
How is that possible? Do a little research. Take a couple of hours and educate yourself. Because that is what the governments and corporations rely on. The ignorance of the masses.
I have so much more to say on this topic and will most likely continue. But for starters....read. They can't lie to us, pull the wool over our eyes and tell us this is better for you, if you have knowledge.
Begin to take an interest..its the start that will truly see this world a better place.
