I found that if you have legal knowledge, that can also work. I was married, had a law degree & started working in a very anti-child industry when I was trying to get mine years back. Oh, and I was 26 years old & felt it was ridiculous for me to have to wear condoms in my own marriage + continue to pay for expensive birth control. I even worked in a legal clinic in law school & saw the consequences of some of these idiots encouraging unfit parents to breed.
I pointed out the utter farce of doctor/patient confidentiality if I had to lie to get that done as well as it being my body, an illegal intrusion into my marital bedroom that violated U.S. Supreme Court precedent & that physician not incurring any costs or expenses as a result of any pregnancy occurring to ME. No one should have to play "Mother, May I" when it comes to their body. I even volunteered to sign a release not holding the doctor liable if I ever "changed my mind". Some still dared to hassle me but you'd better believe I fought on this one.
I simply sought out a doctor in Manhattan NYC & found one of the nation's specialists in that type of surgery. Great guy & he's dealt with a lot of women who had similar problems with sexist busybodies who want to control everyone else's bodies.
