Killswitch Engage... LIVE!!!!
What can I say? Its been what I have always been calling it. Unbefuckinglievable! So striaght to what went on...
So I get out of work and I hauled to pick up Courtney, came back to change, and went to the show. Got there at around 5:15, Zohn and everyone were gonna meet us there. Well, the line was already kinda big and Zohn or anyone else wasnt even IN the line, so there went by front row spot. Needless to say, I was angry, then thas when Zohn broke out the news about backstage passes for a hundred bucks. So, knowing me, I haul ass to the front door and we asked the promotor guy if he had anymore and, no luck, BUT!! He can do 150 bucks, so what do I do? Sprint the fuck to the nearest ATM and take out cash for me and Courtney, she said she pay me back, and Zohn got his and were there with the cash in our hands and WE GET TURNED DOWN AGAIN!!! God, I was PISSED THE FUCK OFF.... But, I didnt know what to do. So we just waddled around the front, wondering how I can get a pass, then, the door just opens, letting the people in, kinda early, so we manage to slip in, first ones in and in line for that security check. That goes by, and what do ya know? Were in the front of the doors hat leads into the hall. Unreal. I buy some merch for me and Heather and I had to put on ALL the shirts cuz I wasnt gonna go to the car and hold em during the show, so Im itching like a mofo with 5 shirts on. Well, the door finally opens... and I haul ass like nothing before and I literally GLUE myself to the baracade, and us 3 were there, front row, for the whole damn show, it was fuckin AWESOME!! The first three bands were pretty good. Then, the lights went out and Adam D. starting playin the Star Spangled Banner and everyone went fucking ballasitic!!! Then they hit the stage, and the emotion from it all cant even be put ito words. They played all of the hits they have, INCLUDING their famous cover of Dio's Holy Diver AND a new song from their upcoming album on Nov. 21. Unreal!!! I was even able to touch Howards hand when he would sing and reach into the crowd, and Adam would come off stage and run arond in front of the baracade and he ran by and I patted his shoulder!! haha. Then, if that wasnt enough, after the show, I kinda snuck into the back and Courtney and I was chit chattin with their Tech, Josh, guy Ive seen on their DVD, really awesome dude, and I had aked him if I can meet the band and hes like "Yea, dude, once they walk out here, you can walk up to em, theyre really cool dudes." So then, shortly after that, they all walked out and I met em all!! Well, not all, I mustve missed Joel, the guitarist, cuz either I didnt wait long enough or he left and I missed him. But I met the rest, Justin, Mike D., Howard, and of course, Adam D. himself!!! I was already gonna cry, it was absolutely a dream come true. They all signed my promo poster I had of them and took pics with Adam and Howard. Great guys, making great music. I love them so much. No doubt a night to remember. =)
Now, may I present to you, me and Heathers favorite band, the same band that brought me and Heather together in the first place...
