Rapunzel Gothel 2/370ftandcountingApril 11 2011, 19:12:31 UTC
6. Personality:
Rapunzel is naive, sweet, compassionate, kind, caring - all qualities normally attributed to your typical Disney princess. Her actions denote these qualities, and one of her most predominate traits is her loyalty to the mother that has kept her captive. Despite her escape, Rapunzel does love Mother Gothel, and defaults to her 'wisdom' more often than not. She knows very little of the outside world because of her captivity, and has learned very few life lessons in general.
Incredibly intelligent for a girl so secluded, Rapunzel has mapped star charts and patterns along with teaching herself how to paint. She is well read and an exceptional baker - with nothing else to do in her tower, Rapunzel has become quite the multi-talented individual. She knits, sews, plays guitar, cooks, reads, does ballet, plays chess, makes candles, practices ventriloquism, paints, does paper mache, plays darts, and is quite the potter. She has thrown herself into her education and talents, though despite being so well read, Rapunzel still retains her innocence and the lack of social interaction leaves her an inherently curious creature, full of questions and curious ponderings.
She's a determined girl, and despite her loyalty and obedience to her mother, she insists on her freedom, unable to tolerate any longer being cooped up in a tower and ignores plots and schemes by Flynn to deter her. Even being taken into a seedy pub with viking-esque individuals, Rapunzel simply befriends them and never loses her determination. She’s insistent about her desire to see the floating lights, and it’s that drive that pushes her and Flynn both along their paths. She doesn’t take no for an answer, and has no problem brandishing a frying pan and whalloping someone (namely Flynn) a good one if she feels threatened.
Because of her seclusion, she is almost completely immune to Flynn's advances and charms and really has very little patience for his antics.
Her ‘mother’ has instilled in Rapunzel a fear of the unknown and what the girl believes to be a great need to protect her hair from those that would misuse it. She’s been hiding from people that would abuse it her entire life, though she unknowingly has been used since birth, and when she realizes this Rapunzel refuses to stand for it and will not tolerate someone using her only for her power.
Powers: Rapunzel's hair is very special, and has the power to actually reverse age and heal any and all injuries, and does seem to have the ability to bring individuals back from the dead. She’s had her power since birth - her mother had fallen deathly ill and a special little plant that stemmed from a single drop of sunlight was the only thing to save her. This is how Rapunzel acquired her 'powers'. However, her hair can never be cut, otherwise it will turn into ordinary hair.
For game purposes, it won’t be able to revive the dead, no matter how hard she tries. Her hair will only be able to heal.
