Elizabeth is a cruel and heartless wench burns all the rum on the island in a massive smoke signal to get rescued. Elizabeth and Sparrow both cut deals to get back William and The Black Pearl. They manage to get to Isle de Muerta where Jack uses his tongue to stop Barbossa from sacrificing Will, and to distract the former first mate while he steals one of the cursed coins for himself. This results in a rather epic battle between Barbossa and Jack- where it cumulates with Will spilling some of his blood, effectively lifting the curse, and Jack firing a single shot and killing the now mortal Barbossa. Jack is captured, again, and sentenced to hang at Port Royal. With conspiracies of his loyal crewmates, his true first mate Gibbs and William- they free Jack from the gallows and reunite him with the Black Pearl.
Dead Man's Chest Jack's thirteen years of life among the living is almost up and Jack is on a mission to get to Davy Jones chest to save himself. To add to the issues he's already having, Cutler Beckett is back on his heels and uses extortion against Will to get him to steal Jack's Compass, the compass that does not point north and instead points to the holder's desires. William eventually finds Jack and his crew hiding on a cannibal island where they are going to be captured and eaten. They all escape the island and head to Tia Dalma ( the goddess Calypso in human disguise) who then gives up the location to a shipwreck where Davy Jones will show up. Jack has total faith in betrays Will to Davy Jones. Davy Jones takes Will as part of Jack's debt of service and requires that Jack bring to him 99 more people to crew his ship. Jack goes to Tortuga to find the people to help square the debt and instead finds a disgraced disgusting drunken Norrington and Elizabeth who is trying to find and save Will. Jack convinces Elizabeth that her greatest desire is to find the chest so that she can save Will. She uses the compass and points them to the island where the chest is buried. Will had escaped the Flying Dutchman and shows up on the beach. There is a three way tug of war as Will, Jack and Norrington fight over the chest and Davy Jones' heart inside of it. Jack wanted it as leverage against Jones for his debt, Norrington wanted to use the heart as leverage back into the Navy and prosperity, and William wanted to use the heart to free his father Bootstrap that he met on Davy Jones' ship by stabbing it and killing Jones.
Five! insert witty title here.kptn_sparrowMay 13 2011, 22:35:04 UTC
In the end it is Norrington who acquires the heart and takes off with it. Jones catches up with The Black Pearl and fires upon the ship. The Black Pearl outruns the Flying Dutchman and Jones releases the Kraken to take revenge upon Jack. The crew gets attacked by the big beastie, and Jack, in a moment of cowardice takes off in the only longboat left on the ship. While watching the crew and the Black Pearl take a beating he has a crisis of conscious and guilt and rows back to this ship. Here he helps make the last stand against the Kraken and help makes a large explosion that makes the angry sea creature retreat for a moment to regroup. Jack has everyone abandon ship, but before he is able to retreat along with the crew, Elizabeth betrays him and chains him to the mast of the doomed Pearl. The crew that's left, leaves the ship, while Jack faces his fate with the Pearl as he did with the Wicked Wench and is killed by the Kraken and pulled beneath the waves and into Davy Jones Locker. Guilt and grief ride the backs of his crewmates and they mourn in Tia Dalma's shack. Here she proposes that they do not let Jack leave the earth and that if they are brave they should bring back Jack. It's then revealed that she brought the bastard Barbossa back from the dead to serve as a captain. At the same time, Cutler Beckett receives the heart of Davy Jones from Norrington. Now he has control of the oceans. At World's End Cutler Beckett has torn the oceans open and rules it with an iron fist. While Jack's shipmates were looking for a solution to get Jack back from the land of the dead, Beckett declared martial law and was hanging pirates by the hundreds. Now the Brethren Court, the closest thing to a ruling body among pirates, was called to action. This called upon the Pirate Lords to make an appearance and help all of the pirates of the seas. Jack was the Pirate Lord of the Caribbean and without him they could not come to a conclusion. This only gave his shipmates more of a reason for wanting to get Jack back from Davy Jones' Locker. They end up in jurisdiction of Sao Feng and make a bargain for the map that leads to the edges of the world and beyond. All hell breaks loose as Cutler's men catch up with the pirates. Barbossa, William, Elizabeth and crewmates escape the coupe. Jack has been left in Davy Jones Locker. A personal hell has been crafted for him, where he and his ship have been abandoned in the middle of a sea of sand. Jack has begun to go crazy (er) and sees multiple versions of himself as crewmates, each an aspect of his personality. He takes a violent bent with himself, and shoots anyone who gets in his way. A sure telling that what Elizabeth had done had effected him deeply he shoots the one version of himself begging for his right to a second chance. “That kind of thinking is what got us here in the first place mate.” When Tia Dalma, Barbossa, Will and Elizabeth arrive in the Locker, rock crabs appear and start to carry away the Pearl. Jack chases down his ship and in the end they are reunited for better or for worse on the edges of the Locker.

Jack breaks the code about how to leave the Locker in another fit of madness, and rocks the ship until it is pointed upside down. Which brings the ship right-side up and back in the Caribbean. Realizing that they are all alive, there is a moment where all realize that they could settle scores and debts now depending on who got shot. Wet powder saves them all to fight again another day. In another twist of fate, Sao Feng turns up and takes command of the Pearl with Willam's help. Beckett arrives and Jack tries to strike a deal with his former boss. He was to lead Beckett to Shipwreck Cove and the Brethren Court where Jack was to lead the Court and pirates out of the defensible den. Jack disables Beckett's ship from pursuit while Sao Feng makes off with Elizabeth in another ship. William, still loyal to Beckett, was leaving a trail of dead bodies as bread crumbs for the bastard gentleman to follow. Jack, perhaps not quite trusting William any longer but trusting in William's nature, sends him overboard with a body and The Compass That Does Not Point North. Jack then proceeds to the Brethren Court at Shipwreck Cove. Because of the difference in egos and opinions when Elizabeth also shows and demand that they fight- Jack sides with her effectively making her the King of the Pirates. When they face Beckett's Armada outside of the Cove, they turn on Jack who suggests they maybe try and parley with the Armada. In a meeting with Davy Jones, Beckett, William, Barbossa, Jack and Elizabeth- they give up Jack for Will who gets locked in the brig of the Flying Dutchman. Jack escapes the brig in the middle of a male-storm and hunts for the heart of Davy Jones. Jones and Jack meet, as Jack was attempting to escape and they fight over possession of the chest and the key to the chest. The Black Pearl was also caught in the storm and is fighting The Flying Dutchman. William and Elizabeth both board the Dutchman and fight their way through the crew. Jack has possession of the heart due to Jones being distracted. Jones, in a fit of jealousy and cruelty, stabs William. In a bid to save Will's life, Jack makes Will stab Jones' heart, making him immortal and the new captain of the Flying Dutchman as Jones dies and falls overboard. The Black Pearl disengages and Jack and Elizabeth are able to escape the sinking Dutchman. Now the Pearl faces Beckett's armada, and it looks to be losing. Quickly things change as the Dutchman resurfaces and Jack and William demolish the armada's flagship, killing Cutler Beckett. The rest of the Armada flees, leaving Shipwreck Cove to the pirates. Jack has control of the Pearl once again, and anchors in Tortuga for a little R&R. Knowing that Barbossa will take the ship as soon as Jack leaves it, Jack steals the map in a preemptive gesture of good faith. Barbossa lives up to his expectations, and Jack sets sail to the Fountain of youth, with his map and his compass.

6. Personality: Jack is undoubtedly the worst/best pirate of the seven seas. He morality seems to always be in question, though he has not been accused of really foul things- the only murder on his record would be Hector Barbossa's and even then the bastardhe didn't stay dead. He is an honorable man, for a pirate, and tells the truth more often than not. Jack's first action is to try and talk his way out of whatever trouble he has caused, been involved in or is headed his way to no fault of his own. He is verbose, outgoing, a spazz, and takes great pride in running and saving skin than trying to save face. He is animated at nearly all that he does. Occasionally now under great duress, he will be seen talking to himself- a holdover of his insanity of being left in Davy Jones locker for an extended period of time.

His back is covered in a large tattoo featuring the poem Desiderata, a poem showing how dedicated he is to his pacifist nature and love of life. Imbedded also in the poem are symbols and gods of the world. A sea turtle, the sun on one arm, the moon on another, the ocean, and the World Tree. He features several bands of tattoos on his sides and on the biceps of his arms, in a similar style to Hawaii and other Pacific Rim cultures. 13. Writing sample - Third Person Prose: On Meeting a Dragon It wasn't that Jack hasn't seen creatures of supernatural origin before. Or even especially large lizards. He was unfortunately hung up on the fact that this unnatural, supernatural lizard of extreme proportions- could fly.
“Nice beastie. There's a love. I was just leaving. You'll get no trouble from Jack here. That's a girl.”
He started backing up slowly, hands in front of him in that universal gesture of 'dear gods don't eat me, I'm leaving'.
“You don't want to eat me. Someone's already gotten there first. I don't taste very good. That's it, nice and easy there.”
The dragon, for that's what it was, shifted and swung it's head from side to side taking in large gulps of air through equally large nostrils.
He was unsure if it was just noticing him, or sizing him up for dinner.
Suddenly the green beast stood up on all fours and started to lumber toward him.
“OHHEEEIGH!” Jack gave up all hope at peaceful negotiations, turned tail, and ran for the shoreline.
The dragon behind him, perhaps did not appreciate Jack's sudden attempt at fleeing and unfurled massive wings. Of with which it pumped vigorously to gain altitude. Chancing a glance over his shoulder the dear captain panics and in a burst of speed and flailing arms attempts to make it to the waves before the dragon can clear the foliage. Just as his feet hit the sands, the dragon lands in the shallow surf and ontop of his small boat, smashing it to pieces.
“Not. Good.”
The dragon rears and takes in a deep breath.
“Oh -diffidently- not good!” with a scramble in the opposite direction, Jack attempts to get to the safety of the jungle. “Notgoodnotgoodnotgood.”
Behind him there is a wave of heat as he was blasted off of his feet and into a tree. Dazed he scrambles to his feet, and stumbles more than sea-legs could account for.
“That's right. The overgrown gecko can breath fire. Of course it can breath fire! That would just have to be my luck. Fantasti-IIK!”
Hearing the wind whistle behind him, the good captain takes a dive into the shelter of some thick vegetation. Scrambling madly to get away from the irate lizard he does not look where he is headed and trips over a log. Taking a unpleasant tumble down the hill , his flight ends abruptly with a short free fall and a sudden , painful, stop. Groaning Jack attempts to get up. Then his eyes adjust to the inside of the shallow cave he had landed in. There is a whine when he speaks.
“You have GOT to be joking me.”
He heaves a sigh.
In front of him are a half dozen, larger than life , spherical objects whose white exteriors could only mean one things. Eggs.
“Well at least now I do know the bloody thing is a female. Mood swings and all.”

I would like to express my most deepest gratitudes to the people involved in the rescue of my person. While I have the upmost respects for those who have seen fit to rescue me from a fate unimaginable, there are a few, small , additional requests I would like to make for the benefit of all.
Firstly. More rum. There clearly isn't enough to last us a day, let alone an unmentionable and unknowable amount of time. I fear we'll be bone dry and well on our way to unpleasantness without the benefits of rum. Ghastly. We wouldn't want that. It needs to be addressed immediately, with the greatest haste!
Secondly, more wenches. You can never have enough of nubile female creatures available for wooing. The more, the merrier says I!
15. Tattoo: Right below the pirate brand on his right arm.

The Curse of Cortes refers to the curse upon gold inside a chest on the Isle de Muerta. It is gold that the Aztec natives were to pay to Cortes so that he would stop killing them. Cortes' greed could not be stemmed and so the gods of the people he slaughtered placed a curse upon the blood money- that anyone who removed a piece of gold from the chest would be cursed for eternity. The curse itself turned the men of the Black Pearl into immortal men who were neither alive, or dead. They were still longing and hungry and thirsty, but could not taste the food they ate or feel refreshed by drink. They were to live a half-life because of their greed for the gold. It is only under the moonlight that the true nature of the curse becomes visually apparent, and the bodies of the cursed men becoming skeletons. Only by returning all the gold to the chest, and the blood of the thief would the curse lift. When Bootstrap sent off the gold coin to his son, Will- he had told Barbossa that they deserved to be cursed for what they had done to Jack. Barbossa then sent Bootstrap to the depths of the ocean. It was only after that they learned they needed Bootstrap's blood to lift the curse.
Jack met James Norrington at Port Royal after Jack's rescue of Elizabeth. Newly titled fop Commodore, Norrington's personal mission was to wipe out every pirate there ever was, seemingly regardless of guilt or innocence. So while Jack had saved Elizabeth , who Norrington had just proposed to, because of the brand of “pirate” from the East India Trading Company, Jack was to be hanged on the morning. A lovely start to any relationship. Elizabeth was the only one to prove any leverage against the puckered rear Commodore, using the acceptance of Norrington's proposal as a means to rescue Will from BoobBarbossa. Norrington was true to the crown and though, and Jack, having proved to be nothing but an honorable gentleman down on his luck, was set to hang at Port Royal for all manner of amusing charges. None of which included murder and/or rape. William and his crewmates were set to free Jack from the hangman's noose, and it is only then when Will and Elizabeth stand between Norrington and the good captain that Norrington concede that he will give Jack a days head start. Norrington makes good on his promise and even chased Jack into a hurricane which is how Norrington lost his commission as a Commodore and ended up in Tortuga drunk off his ass.
