regarding candy

-here at work, there's a bowl of candy delicately balanced in the middle of the main thoroughfare (read: on my desk). after two weeks of observing it, i've made a few observations...first, people like chocolate more than anything. second, people like chewy candy more than hard candy. third, the majority of people like fruit-flavoured candy more than non-fruity-non-chocolate candy, although there are definately fans of bit-o-honey, as well. carmels seem to be unpopular with everyone except for me. fourth, there's a very interesting phenomenon...without fail, the moment one gets one's jaws stuck together with bit-o-honey, caramel, or the like, the phone rings. luckily, i have countered this problem by becoming proficient in answering the phone without moving my jaws.

-as a remotely related aside, it seems tomorrow is "cookie day." it's on my company's calendar. i'm not entirely sure what this means, but it sounds good to me.
