The two jobs are back and almost in full swing. What will the semester bring? Only two credits for this chicky. I've got an assistant lighting design project that I intend to throw most of my effort into. Other than that, I have about 40 hours of work per week between the two jobs (don't know how stage gigs are going to go this semester) and I'm looking for a job off-campus. Lynne is talking about doing a side project of volunteers with the media and architecture departments to construct a staging area downtown. I'm interested to know the process and will be excited if all of the departments pull through on it.

I'd like to take a bow out of Women's Center as soon as we get the new students in, setup, and running. As for Pagans... our President has resigned, so we will hold elections a few weeks into the semester. Our main priority at this point is to fine tune our Constitution and then secure ourselves with Campus Ministries. I'm treasurer this year, so I get to come up with possible fundraising efforts and keep budget. If I don't have to do any Ren Fair stuff I will be a happy girl. In my opinion, we need to concentrate on funds, affiliation and functionality right now before we can do another Fair (Also, the Fair would be better to do next fall anyway). The Lughnasadh Rite was fantastic. The energy in the room was powerful. Our hosts had us do a representation of the death of the Horned God and combined it with corn and the first harvest. (I was bestowed the privilege of playing the Goddess.) Then we ate a, for the most part, vegan meal and chilled. I heart ritual.

Lolo and Christy will be married within the next two weeks. Weird. The wedding will be a good chance to see everyone again. I've realized, since many of us have scattered, how much my LG friends have meant to me these past years and how dull and empty my life can get without them. Chad will be off to Stonybrook soon to start University there, but may be staying with Joe and I for a week this month. Speaking of Joe, he and I are still going strong after nine months, which is nice. I hardly ever tire of him.

As for family, my youngest sister tore her other ACL and just had surgery done on it a week ago. From what she's told me, she's not healing as well this time. They just had her in within the last couple of days to rendezvous with a giant needle, pulling fluid from her knee to find out that she tested negative for the blood clot they thought she had. It makes me wonder what my risk is for a clot, since I haven't treated my torn ACL & meniscus as she has. My nieces are sweet. I had a dream about them lately, which must mean I miss them, and my second to youngest sister is very, very tired and stressed out as a working mother squared. (Every mother is a working mother, right? So a mother with a part-time-soon-to-be-full-time job is a working mother squared? Ok, it's corny. I know.) I haven't heard from the remaining sibling, but have heard that she may be moving to Albany with her bf after graduation. I know she's still at least alive because she posts semi-regularly on facebook.

I think that's all I'll share for now. Tonight I get to see the Simpsons movie with a few of Joe's friends. I've heard good things.
