Authors's Note: So this is the last of three different fic's that I wrote this morning. Apparently I went on some sort of writing spree, which is extremely weird for me. Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy this, since I also have no idea where this one came from either.

The only way to describe the sound coming from the bedroom of Zack's apartment was that of a rabid Behemoth that had been woken up from a deep sleep. Cloud had heard it the second the elevator doors had opened onto Zack's floor. Cloud had done nothing more than heaved a long suffering sigh before walking down the brightly lit hallway until he reached the door marked with small golden numbers reading two hundred twenty two. Digging the key card that he had been given months before out of the pocket of his fatigues, Cloud unlocked the heavy wooden door before turning the brass knob and pushing it open.
The sound had been loud before, but now it was almost deafening. Even from the living room Cloud knew whatever it was that was currently contained in the bedroom was most probably armed and dangerous. And knowing Zack, extremely hopped up on caffeine.
Bracing himself for what was to come, Cloud moved towards Zack's bedroom door. He knew he was taking his life into his own hands, probably foolishly, by opening the door and peering around it. The sight that he was met with was definitely not what he had been expecting. Then again, he had pretty much given up on expecting anything when it came to Zack.
The first class Soilder was standing on the bed. No, Cloud corrected, he was jumping on the bed. The atrocious noise that Cloud had heard all the way down the hall way the sound of him landing, before spring back up off the mattress, and slapping his hands against the ceiling. This motion was met by the sound of childish giggles spilling out of Zack's mouth, making the whole scene more than laughable. In fact, it was all Cloud could do keep himself from breaking out in a fit of his own giggles.
Straight face intact, he moved further into the room before clearing his throat, hoping to get Zack's attention. When the move didn't work, Cloud set his face into a look of annoyance and prepared for battled.
"Just what do you think you’re doing?" Cloud asked, hoping to catch Zack off guard. After all, seeing the usually graceful Solider fall on his head would be one hell of a good show.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Zack asked, never missing a beat.
"It looks like you've suddenly forgotten just old you are." Cloud knew it was imperative to make his annoyance known early on if he was to have any hope of winning this battle.
"I know exactly how old I am, Spike. This, however, is fun." Zack continued to bounce all over the bed. Cloud saw his large calloused hands come up and slap at the ceiling once more.
Cloud knew what was going to happen even before the sound of it reached his ears. The sound of plaster cracking as it fell out of it's intended mould filled the air even as the large chunk came crashing down onto the bed, covering both of them, along with everything in the room with a fine layer of white dust. A deadly combination of powered mortar and the plaster that had been used to construct the ceiling, leaving in it's wake a huge gapping hole in the center of the ceiling. The offending object now lay on the end of the bed, with two sets of eyes staring at it. One in complete and total disbelief as he struggled to steady himself on the cushy mattress. The other with a knowing smirk gracing his features.
"Learned your lesson yet?" Cloud asked smugly.
"How in the hell was I supposed to know that was going to happen?" Zack immediately went on the defensive.
"The point is you should have know better." Cloud remarked.
"Oh whatever." Zack said as he took a step forward intending to walk to the end of the bed and then jump off. "Oh shit!" Zack muttered as the legs of the bed frame gave way, sending the box springs and the mattress to the floor, and sending Zack flying half way across the room to land in an unceremonious pile at Cloud's feet.
"How about now?" Cloud said, a knowing smirk once again gracing his features. Nothing was better then being proven right, especially when it was against Zack.
"Go to hell!" Zack groaned from his spot on the floor. Lifting his head to survey the ruin that was now his bed, before moving his eyes to the now destroyed ceiling, and he knew, he just knew, Sephiroth was going to make him pay to get it repaired.
"What is that you always tell me when I say that to you?" Cloud said as he placed his hand on his chin and cocked his hip out slightly, placing the other hand on it, mocking the motion Zack always did when he was thinking really hard. "Only if you come with me?"
"You know sometimes I wonder why I put up with you." Zack said from his spot on the floor. Cloud couldn't see his face, but he knew that the infamous puppy dog face was present on it. He knew his lips would be formed into the utterly perfect pout. His eyes would have the much practiced dejected look in them. Cloud was only grateful that Zack was facing the other way, otherwise his resolve would never have held up.
"You know, I've been wondering the same thing about you."
