Today was mellow.

Dad cooked breakfast this morning, and I tried to even things out by handing the clean and dirty dishes. It's like a game of going tit-for-tat with him in doing things around the house. After breakfast David and I went out to clean up the smaller branches my Dad clipped off the Fig tree, but David cut-out halfway through when mom came by to go shopping with him. So I did a little more, Dad said he'd handle the rest, so I went inside and read some short stories from Smoke and Mirrors. Today I read "Chivalry", and I think what I liked most about it is that it was understated in a way.

I practiced some guitar, and I played a little X-Com.

Later on I got a text message from Jared inviting me over to watch a movie called "Jennifer's Body"
I remember seeing previews for it and thinking it was going to be another cookie-cutter summer movie, but I was surprisingly entertained and amused by it. I also got some books from Katie: Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird (which I haven't read for some time), World War Z, and History is Dead. I'm going to read Lord of the Flies first so Jared can read it.

I also need to remember to ask my Dad to grab his computer diagnostic discs from school before he goes out tomorrow, my computer could use a little service.
